One of the best B&B's I have visited. The Accommodation was first class, an older house that has been restored to first class condition. Great bedroom, great ensuite and a very well set out kitchen with all the necessities. Great heating throughout the house, as this was required with a snap cold front on our stay. Within walking distance to...

Four of us stayed at Mt Lyell Anchorage in a two bedroom cottage. Having driven through Queenstown we were not confident that the accomodation would be up to much, but we were wrong. Mt Lyell Anchorage is a hidden gem. The cottage was well appointed and the beds were extremely comfortable. The provisions in the kitchen are 'above and beyond'...

Fabulous with food provisions, roomy cottages tho no wifi range from reception and no cooking hotplates. Stayed there to explore and loved the spot and host, would recommend tho likely stay in Strahan definitely if we explore again.

We had booked the self-contained cottage but the wifi was non-existent so we downgraded to the main house to get wifi, but it was also unsuccessful (nearly 10 minutes to get the home page of the BBC website). The owner offered many excuses as to why the internet was poor but we went to a local motel to get wifi...

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay at my property and am sorry that the wifi did not work very well on your devices. When you advised me that the only reason you booked my cottage was for the free wifi I immediately moved you to a better room closer to the wifi. I remember standing in the room...

This was a great place to stay with beautiful spacious rooms with glorious bathrooms. There was a lovely guest lounge and all things you could need in a kitchen. It is a must stay place if you are heading to Queenstown.

My Lyell Anchorage is definitely the home away from home you want to stay in. Decorated in a tasteful manner, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable and everything you need is provided for. Our host, Joy, was always readily available on the phone or in person if we had any questions about the area or additional requirements....

Joy went overboard to help with accommodating our children, even though it was a very busy weekend for her. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast. The house was warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. We had a delightful visit.

This is a great guesthouse. The building has been renovated with great attention to detail. It was a cold night so the fire in the living room was put on for our comfort. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a good breakfast. The bed is very comfortable with quality sheets & bedding. There is a nice big double...

A hidden treasure on the West Coast. We had accommodation for three of us but there is accommodation for more or B & B also. Joy has done a great job renovating the house and attached houses. The house is old world with modern luxuries and Tassie timbers on their best display. We were in a house suitable for 2...
