Detailed Reviews
We had 3 family groups stay at the Ingenia Hunter Valley. We had a ball!!
The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Everything was supplied
from laundry liquid to cork screws. Washing machines, dryers and dishwashers
included in the unit. The camp kitchen was a great meeting place for our large
group. The facilities in the camp kitchen were great and included dishwashing
liquid, scourers, cloths, bbqs, microwave, stove cooktop and fridges.
The pool was amazing and the spa was delightful. We bounced on the bouncing
pillow, the kids climbed on the equipment and we all spent time in the pool and spa.

The villa was very clean and well presented. Perfectly positioned by the pool. Unfortunately there was only 4 towels for a booking of 6 guests, the beds were all sagging and needed to be replaced. There was a broken ironing board and an iron that leaked rusty water on our clothing, there was also blown light bulbs, not sufficient remotes for the air con's and TV's throughout the villa. The garbage bin under the sink could not secure the bag which resulted in the bag spilling into the kitchen cupboard with once any small item was put in bin. As the villa did not have an oven as advertised we needed to improvise with the bbq, which would not ignite. There was also no visitors/tourist guide that advertised local restaurants, points of interest, or information about the park. To also learn on this survey we could have arranged for our groceries to be delivered to the villa would have saved us a lot of extra time, this would have been better to learn during the booking.
However our overall stay was enjoyable and took full advantage of the pool/spa facilities.

+1
Run down 1⭐at best cabin. The floor is filthy & leaves shoe prints where you have walked. The mop was black on the bottom & after trying to clean it & re mop the floor after arriving at 10pm (on the road for 11hrs).
An ancient looking "oven/cooktop".
TV remote doesn't work with the same branded TV. Batteries good as checked with the DVD player.
DVD player remote filthy.
Allot of cobwebs & killed a Redback spider near entrance, inside the cabin.
Airconditioner filters are filthy & in need of cleaning...
After waking the next morning we both where unwell. I had a mild asthma episode from the mold in the cabin.
Their is obvious evidence of water rot in the wall which would exaserbate the moldy room. Even outside ALL the cabins looked dirty from the roof down.
(See photos)
After talking to the manager, they where happy to refund us or try upgrading. Went to superior cabin & after taking one step inside it was worse with moldy smell. Full refund for remaining 2 days stay was organised.
As we couldn't find anything suitable in the area we cut our holiday short & drove home!
Thanks for ruiining our holiday...

We stayed for 3 nights.
The cabin is quite worn out. There was quite a number of cockroaches and different types of insects in the cabin. The sliding fly screen door always off the rail and cannot be opened. There is definitely a need for an upgrade of the facilities. Doesn’t feel clean.

Will avoid the place in the future. It is really an over-55’s retirement place with about 50 powered sites crammed into a very small area. If your van will fit you have to park in front of it on the roadway. Also there are only 3 toilets (one of which was out of order) and 4 showers in the ladies. The showers flooded the floor if the facilities and cleaning was minimal. Also at $55 a night it is very expensive, more than $20 above anywhere else we stayed on this trip.

We stayed here recently for a couple of nights and were a little disappointed. We stayed in a three bedroom cabin which was clean and in a good spot overlooking the pool. The outside ‘deck’ area could have done with a once over. While the cabin can cater for six people there is only ‘comfy’ seating for 4 and even that wasn’t overly comfy. The bedroom downstairs is close to the handyman shed and they started work just after 6am which is super efficient but pretty noisy. The lady at reception was super helpful and recommended the Thai restaurant next door for dinner (which was great). While it’s close to the wineries, I wouldn’t recommend this for the price we paid.

Have stayed here in the past in our caravan and 'regular' cabin. This time decided to treat ourselves to a 'poolside' villa. Very roomy, well equipped and comfortable beds. Pool towels supplied, which is welcome as you open directly to the pool (each villa has a small dining area and bbq between the kitchen door and pool gate). Very civilised place to laze away a hot afternoon

We enjoyed our stay at Ingenia Hunter Valley. The facilities were clean and new and cosy.
We loved the proximity to the pool and think this would be wonderful for a stay in warmer weather. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable.
It would be good to have some fencing or division between the cabins next to the pool (we stayed in a three bedroom cabin) as we had people and children walking past our glass doors constantly. This didn't feel very safe or private. Door inside cabin leading to the stairs needs a lock to prevent small children from injuring themselves on the stairs.
I can recommend this to families wanting value for money. Need to be aware that this is an over 55's retirement village as well so need to be conscious of children and noise and not accessing the areas where the older residents live.
