Good location if you're intent is to stay by Coogee beach. Close to restaurants ... but then being so close to Sydney itself, by comparison the restaurants were understaffed and we would have done better to go back into Sydney for main meals.
I have to say this is a great find. Really enjoyed 5 days with gf's at this place. Firstly the location is fantastic. The view is superb and the rooms are clean. I was a little concerned at some negative reviews but went ahead and...More
The apartment was fantastic. it was very spacious, views of the beach and walking distance to everything. We found everything to be very clean and neat. We also had a great balcony and it wasnt noisy at all.
We will definitely stay there again.
What you pay for is what you get. Some would say the rooms are a little run down, but they are spacious and have everything you need. There are a few dings and stains, but I think that is from inconsiderate guests. The views from...More
I have been staying at the Coogee View for a long time and it works well as reasonably priced accommodation close to the beach and local restaurants. Parking is included and also works well, and whilst the whole place is nothing to write hone about,...More

Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity
footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.

Yes, what Mandy said above, but be warned, our King Size bed was not 2 singles strapped together with a thick mattress topper as is usual, but was a king size base with 2 single mattress and a very thin mattress protector so that the mattresses separated, and you could feel the side bindings of the individual mattresses . I would check on arrival and ask them to fix it if you can.
