If it wasn't for the great comedy night and nice setting I probably would have rated this lower. Some of the staff were terrible; as a waitress myself it's extremely annoying when staff are missing basic things a hospitality worker should know/do. There is a deal on a Monday for a meal and a drink for 25bucks. The queue near...

Me and a very good friend visited our local Coogee Bay hotel pleasantly suprised they had summer time pop up food stalls, West coast fish and the Garden Kebab shop. Me and a friend ordered from the bar where we was instructed to collect our food in 18minutes from the Garden kebab shop, upon arrival we noticed food sitting on...

Coogee Bay Hotel is a great place to stay for a weekend in Sydney. The vibe is definitely there with both locals and tourists. The rooms are average but the location is ideal for a night out or a day at the beach.

Got a chicken salad here for $24 and it wouldn't of feed a small child. Not much chicken to be found in it either. A McDonald's salad would of been better. The Greek Gyros were pretty tasty though. There's a big outside area which is nice but you can't eat food in most of it despite the outdoor restaurants.

If you love the sound of a forklift truck reversing all day (beep beep beep) then you will love this place. And it's not just Monday to Friday as the sign says! Fair to say that the rooms are not soundproofed.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and it was a great experience. The hotel is ideally located across the road from the spectacular Coogee Beach. When we arrived we were met by professional, courteous staff who informed us they had upgraded our room to a bigger one with a kitchenette- that doesn't happen very often! The room was...

Terrible pizzas straight out of the freezer into the oven. Plastic pizzas. Came out cold and undercooked. Very expensive. Don't eat there. And the schnitzel comes out with nothing, a tiny bit of dry mash potato

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
