Katoomba lodge is centrally located as it is only about a five minute walk from the main street and then minutes from the train station. On arriving to the lodge there was no one on reception and no instructions as to where to find the...More
We're staying here for 3 nights during this easter holiday and it was a-OK stay, as we only needed a warm bed to sleep for our adventure in Blue Mountains!
The building is old but I can tell that it's been renovated and well maintained....More
A very nice place to stay; feels like a home.
There are many common areas - lounges, balconies, a reading room, etc. with a very pleasant atmosphere, comfy couches etc.; Nice people working there and living there; the room I stayed in was quite comfy....More

Got bed bug bites overnight on my shoulder, freezing cold showers, heaters in the lounge don't work. It's nice and close to the main strip but so are a whole bunch of other hostels at a similar price. I wouldn't stay here again.

I think I saw somewhere under your page, stated that as a proof of identification, customer need to show their credit card and photo ID upon arrival.
I am using my mother's credit card here in Malaysia. We are planning to pay everything from Malaysia before I am heading to Australia. Because I do not own any credit card.
The question is, eventhough we already book and pay, do you still need me to bring along my mom's credit card (which is impossible) or I can just use my passport as a proof of identification?
Hope to hear from you soon, because I am about to book the single bed in 4-bed dormitory room at its best price.

Legally you only require a photographic identity proof for yourself - ie passport - nothing else. We were not even asked for this.
