Overall I enjoyed my three day stay, particularly no television. However, water in plastic bottles for sale was a negative in a green environment. I hope nobody buys them. Better still if they were removed altogether. Katoomba tap water is great.More

Cozy hostel with good atmosphere. Nice big rooms, lovely lady that runs the hostel and a kitchen that invites you to cook. Cozy porch for eating breakfast in the sun. Good info about hiking tracks. Free muesli and cereal for breakfast.

I stayed here twice on a recent bird watching trip. I had my own room on both occasionsides. The hostel is friendly and relaxed. Lots of information about local sightseeing. The kitchen was large enough for multiple groups to prepare food.

If you tell them beforehand when you'll be turning up, they can meet you. I believe they can give you a key to the room if the bed is not ready, but it would be best to call them or email them first to confirm that.
