We stayed here this past weekend to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. My wife had stayed here before but this was my first time. Wonderful old world atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. All I can say is that I will go there again

Really enjoyed staying at this lovely old hotel. It was very comfortable and the bedsheets were so crisp and clean! The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The food was great. A lovely swimming pool.

The hotel sits perched on a ridge with some views of the adjacent area and mountains. It is old but reasonably well care for. Staff are attentive and helpful. The restaurant is of a good standard with quite good food and fair prices.

Yes there is a train that leaves central station in Sydney and stops at Wentworth falls, Leura and Katoomba in the upper mountains. Katoomba Station is just a short 5 minute stroll to the Mountain Heritage.

I believe the double reference means queen as most have here in Australian hotels. There may be Kings on enquiry. I had a very comfortable queen in a very spacious room, the size of the room typical of older hotels.

It's not very far to walk if you didn't have luggage but it is hilly so I would definitely advise you to get a taxi.
