We had great expectations of this hotel from the brochure, but the reality is not quite the same. True, this hotel has seen better days and does need a refurb in some areas, but it is a little quirky and charming in its own way. Due to the layout and split levels, there is no lift and would be a...

My partner and I attended a Sound Therapy Course in Katoomba and I booked our three days here. The rooms are beautiful and while ours did not have a view the interior was clean and very welcoming. The hotel is like a trip back to the 1950s in style. Its peaceful and quiet and the décor is very charming. There...

An Edwardian hotel with charm, good service and a a restaurant with good food. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The area can be explored by car, by foot or a combination. A drive to a viewing point carparks with easy walks, even for replacement hips, to the points afford stunning vistas. Visiting a waterfall is somewhat more strenuous...

Dear WAT4tem, Thank you for your very comprehensive review. You have described us, and our handy location to a tee. Of course the waterfalls are much fuller during the rainy season, but still offer remarkable viewing and the scenic bush-tracks are well worth the walk. Once again thank you for staying with us and thank you for your review. Regards...

We stayed in this quaint hotel in Katoomba, for 2 nights. The room was large with a great view, the decor is dated and all needs updating but we enjoyed it. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful. The food was lovely. We ate breakfast and dinner. Excellent.

Stayed for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Lovely old hotel with real charm. Stayed in room 17, spacious with a comfortable large bed. Bathroom was a little pokey and shower head a bit low, but perfectly acceptable. No view though 😞 Lovely communal areas for relaxation. Pianist was playing on Saturday night....very nice. Views from front of hotel are great....

For any Hotel or Resort not to provide efficient working Wifi these days is Crazy. Unfortunately the days of people sitting around log fires making polite conversation have gone, today even the most romantic of couples are glued to their smart phones. Trying to connect here is an exercise in frustration - only 4 hours and all those codes...then is...

Dear Clive Frederick C Sorry to hear you were having problems with our free wifi service. Yes, unfortunately some people prefer to stay in their room and download continuously rather than relax around our fireplace in our lounges and maybe enjoy a drink or two from our cocktail bar over some pleasant conversation. The continuous downloads do affect the amount...

After a bit of a kerfuffle to pick up our hire car and a 2 hour drive through the rain, it was such a relief to arrive to such a warm welcome. The hotel has retained the beautiful elegance of when it was built with a big open fire, windy staircase and speakeasy style bar; it was so completely different...

Old & tired .…… needs renovation. Could be a beautiful premium venue as it has character and charm from a bygone time. Room was superficially clean and the AC very very noisy ...…… Very expensive for what it was. Tourist rip-off for the whole Blue Mountains

I loved staying here. The hotel has real olde worlde ambiance. My room was on a corner and light filled. Beautifully large and clean and comfortable.
