The rooms were clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The spa was also nice. The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was very good. The piano player on Saturday evening added a nice atmosphere.

Magnificent hotel, a few minor issues but overall would recommend. There are plenty of stairs, some quite steep, be warned! Very close to amenities, relaxing vibe at the hotel, huge comfy bed and polite staff.

Dear 177slm Thank you for staying with us and thank you for recommending us. Our mountain retreat is now in it's 107th year, and still operating as its original purpose. There are some stairs, as the building is built over three levels, there are however, a number sets of stairs, some of which have fewer steps with landings, which make...

A beautiful old hotel in an amazing location. Its perched high and overlooks Katoomba and has beautiful mountain views. They had a man playing the piano in the bar when we went for pre dinner drinks which was a beautiful touch. Rooms are fine, beds comfortable. Everything is 'old' but that is its charm. Our room had a bad view...

Dear Ebony H Thank you for staying with us and providing your review. We are indeed, an old building, in our 107th year now, but as you noted, our wonderful resident piano man, Alan Johnson, who plays every Saturday Night and on all special occasions, great staff, and beautiful mountain views provide a sense of place, seldom found elsewhere. Once...

We were a group of six friends (four over from the UK) and all enjoyed our overnight stay. We were unable to book any Valley View rooms as all full, however, the ones we stayed in (rooms 1, 2 and 3) were large and bright and airy. As we didn’t intend spending much time in our rooms they were great....

dear the_stoddarts We are delighted you and your friends chose to stay with us. Sorry we were not able to provide valley view rooms, but as you noted, the views are equally amazing from our lounge, restaurant, cocktail bar and large decks. We do supply a selection of four types of tea + coffee, in our rooms, but as Earl...

Stayed for two nights. The rooms are comfortable. The views are lovely overlooking the valley. Easy short walk to main street Katoomba. Enjoyed listening to the piano on Saturday evening. Breakfast was basic. Plenty of parking.

We spent two nights staying in this hotel and the views of the mountains were splendid. We thought it was great value too. We received a free breakfast the first morning which was very generous! We ate in the hotel each evening and the food was delicious.

Overall I absolutely loved the hotel! The mountain views are stunning. The walk into Katoomba was 5 minutes maybe 10 minutes if you crawled. The pool was disappointing as was the breakfast. Expected more for the price.

Dear ajolev_373007 Thank you for staying with us, and thank you for your review. All our rooms are different sizes and shapes, our smallest spa fire room is 27m2 and the largest is 33m2 which is quite generous against the average motel room size of 14-20m2.
