The room was clean and has everything you need for an overnight stay. Pleasant night was spent with smooth system for late night check in and early check out was easy too. Quiet night, no street noise. Also easy to find.

We moved here after a couple of nights at another guesthouse where we were less than impressed by the vibe. The difference was amazing! The staff at the Metropole are super friendly and check-in was very efficient. The room had been recently renovated and the public spaces are fantastic. There was some train noise but that is to be expected so close to the railway line. Bit we'd definitely recommend it if you're into heritage properties and don't need everything to be perfect.

My partner and I stayed at the Metropole Guesthouse in Katoomba for three nights, and had a wonderful time. The room was cosy, the service was fantastic and the whole building has a vintage charm. I would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Metropole- lovely olde world charm of the hotel; terrific breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff. Good central location for Katoomba town and nearby attractions. I would stay here again.

First Impression was of an Old Guesthouse with plenty of charm and atmosphere. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Our Queen room was clean and of suitable size, But the Bathroom\Ensuite was terrible and so small, too small for 2 large people. Our room faced the courtyard so all noise travelled up to the 3rd Floor and in the mornings from 5.30 onwards when the Staff were preparing for the day we could hear all their conversations. Like most guesthouses the guests don't seem to concern themselves about the other guests and slam doors and make general noise when coming back at 1,2 or even 3am in the morning. Breakfast was good, BUT with covid restrictions you couldn't serve yourself and the staff of 2 would have to serve 20 or 30 guests, a very slow process. We had 3 nights booked but left after 2, due to not getting any sleep. Katoomba itself is a wonderful place with heaps of history, its just a shame the accommodation was lacking.
