FORECAST -SNOW FALL! Couldn’t believe our luck that the cottage was available Leura is about 1.5hrs out of Sydney for us we figured this beats driving to the snowy mountains for snow weekend away! The polarblast delivered over night a massive coverage of snow and the next morning we woke to more snow fall! This was so magical! And it real topped off the stay at La Petite Maison- Leura. The cottage has central heating through out with an open fire which kept the house completely warm. We where experiencing temperatures of -3 over night with a wind chill that felt like -10. Warm comfortable bedding and a fully functional kitchen we did opt to stay in and cook up a meal and enjoyed a glass or 2 in front of the fire. Sunday weather slightly eased. We managed to rug up and brace the elements and headed down to Megalong Valley, it was freezing but it was so beautiful to see!

La Petite Maison is simply stunning! Comfortable warm beds. Everything you needed was there! We all enjoyed the open fire the cool nights. Restaurant within minutes walk distance. The kids 15,11 years loved what the Blue Mountains had to offer, horse riding in Megalong Valley seeing the 3 sister’s experiencing the scenic railway forest floor walk. They loved the flower pot scone at the wagoose Cafe ! Fantastic to see vineyards now in the Megalong Valley too! So much to do could of stayed a few extra days! We will be back!
