Woodford of Leura is a wonderful 1920s house, well furnished, with lovely surrounding gardens. The Host/new owner was wonderful and very accommodating. The house sleeps 12 guests and we had a number of wonder dinner party evenings. Absolutely loved the working fire place! Great winter warming ambience. A wonderful retreat, close to Leura Mall, golf and bushwalking trails, we will definitely be back!

We were extremely disappointed with Woodford of Leura. I now believe never trust the photos. We booked Woodford for a family get together with 11 of us. The house was dirty to say the least. I stayed in the upstairs bedroom. The shower had mould all through it. The towel rail was broken the toilet had a crack through the top of it as was the shower screen when you closed the glass only one panel closed ?? The kitchen floor was not clean within 10 mins we all complained how dirty our feet were. We planned to cook a lovely meal on the first night we found only 2 saucepans one which was soup pot & the other a small saucepan & no microwave containers to cook with either. The utensils in the drawer had old food on them which again was not good enough. The wine glasses were dirty. When you pay this amount of money on accommodation regardless of where it is you expect a decent standard. For me reviews are generally what I look at first & I can honestly say do not pay this amount of money for a weekend away in a home that has clearly been let go such a shame !!!

We chose this property for the size and the lovely photos of the property. We booked this property for a special family event But were totally disappointed with the property. For the price you pay it is totally not worth it. So many things need fixing broken shower rails, toilet seats, carpets stained, it advertises fully equipped kitchen .. two saucepan to cook for twelve people no microwave containers not even a bottle opener. The property needs a good scrub and a lot of TLC. Emailed managers to express our disappointment and took photos to show them but not even a reply.. The property has so much potential but unfortunately we were Very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this property..

We recently stayed at Woodford due to the fact it could accommodate 6 couples. This is an extremely tired property which needs a lot of maintenance to bring it up to acceptable. The second bedroom upstairs contained 2 very small single beds and had the most disgusting stain on the carpet which we had to put a mat over so we didn't have to look at it. I would recommend researching other properties in the area before booking this one.

I'd only be echoing all the wonderful reviews if I went into too much detail; suffice to say Danielle is a fantastic hostess and her B&B in clean, homely, tasteful and well located. We stayed in June for the long weekend and enjoyed many lovely walks which Danielle gave us advice and books on. Have no complaints the only tiny disappointment we had was that unfortunately she takes Sunday evening off from lighting a fire, even on a holiday weekend, so we had to go out for our fix of winter charm that evening!
