We had 3 nights at Perouse Lodge recently while on family business in Sydney after being recommended by a friend and it was as she had told us. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, close to lots of good cafes and bus stop to city right outside the door. Also close to buses to Bondi and other Eastern suburbs. The bed in...

We recently had an overnight stay at Perouse Lodge as a couple. For the price, I thought the place was very dated, however, it was very quiet considering there was a pub next door. Right near Randwick shopping centre which was good. The only thing I would warn people of is that there is very limited parking and we actually...

It has a great location for the summer time and gives you a place to sleep at nice that's comfortable and gives you access to make your own food. You're really not spending that much time in your room if you're a tourist in Sydney so this place is great for saving money and still sleeping well at night, just...

Excellent location, 5 minutes to 'The Spot' cafes and restaurants. 10 minutes to Randwick high street and the hospitals. Next door to a good pub too. The room is small but has everything you need for a short stay - comfortable bed, bar fridge, plates, cutlery and extra towels in the hallways. The communal kitchen and laundry were also handy....

Budget accommodation. A little dated but clean and comfortable. The bed was huge. Maybe a little firm but that suited me. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. The aircon was efficient and quiet. The room smelled a little musty when I moved in but I stopped noticing it after 5 minutes. All in all - good value.

Extremely noisy from buses running outside my window + garbage truck which gave me an early wake up. Room was tiny and smelled of smoking. Couldn't watch anything on the TV from bed (or from anywhere for that matter) as it was perched high on a cupboard and at a wrong angle. Not coming back.

I recently stayed over night at Perouse Lodge with my son. We stayed in a small double room. This room was upstairs at the end of a hall way. The room was quite tiny, but ample for our needs. My son was attending a concert at Randwick NSW. So the location was quite handy. This hotel is very close to...

The air-con was full of dust, which will giving any asthmatic a hard time to breath. Also the carped was old and scrabby.... Nontheless, the price was relatively cheap compared to other hotels in Sydney. Try to get a room to the back. In the front is a busy street with busses and a pub is there as well.

Central location, room was small, very neat and tidy, though. Decor outside of the room was bland and service wasn't anything special (not rude, but you don't get the feeling like they'd go out of their way to help, sort of thing). Overall, pretty good experience on a discount.
