How do I rate High Cross Park Lodge. Great location, a 2 min walk across the park to the main street of Randwick and the Manager was really friendly and helpful. The room itself was not much bigger than the double bed, allowing for a small round table, wardrobe and kitchen sink including cupboard. Basic necessities included; tv, tea, coffee...

Our group of friends stayed in several shared rooms at the High Cross Park Lodge for 3 nights at the end of October while we attended an event at the University of NSW - which was an easy walk, an inexpensive taxi ride or a quick bus trip there & back. It's an old building so all the rooms varied...

The double room was very small and basic, and the small tv difficult to view perched on top of tall cupboard. The location is very good (for hospital and university and bus routes to city and beach) and our back room was not too noisy considering we were in the middle of Randwick. However the service we received was SHOCKING....

For a room with a small double bed costing $131 for a one night stay it was disappointing. The room was not very clean. For example, beside the fridge the dust and dirt looked like it had been there for a while. The draws in the furniture were also unclean so we did not unpack our clothes. Perhaps they only...

I was a visiting scholar to UNSW and had to find a room last minute and was lucky enough to book a week and a half at High Cross. To summarize, I've stayed at 6 hotels in the Randwick area and High Cross is the best place I have stayed if you're looking to pay ~$100 or less per night....

I think it is good value, considering location and alternatives. Plenty of eateries, Coles Woolies, etc within walking distance. Movie theater 5 mins walk, If you want a place that has all the trimmings and daily service, don't stay there. If you want a clean room to sleep in and helpful staff, stay here.

It is good value for money. Rooms are clean and well kept. Altough parking is limited, (only 3 spaces) there is room on the street or adjacent business. We only saw a dead cockroach at the entrance, but it meant they clean and spray often.

We arrived 30 minutes before our arranged time of 11am to be today our room wasn't ready yet and to come back at 2pm. When we returned we were greeted in a much nicer manner and that continued for the rest of the stay. Considering the room was for sleeping and not for spending a lot of time in, it...

No service to our rooms for the three days we were there, unfriendly reception, tiny bathroom, and too pricey for what you get! And there is NO PARKING so you have to take the risk of leaving your car out on the street overnight (the Lodge has three car parks at the rear which are always taken). Do I need...

I found this to be a good place to stay, a bit noisy from traffic if you stayed in the front rooms. My only issue is the same as IanNZ044 no power point near a bed to set up bedlamp. We had to stay an extra night and the receptionist was so help to accomodate us. Would stay again
