I've been in this hpstel fpr a cpuple weeks and will stay for probably 3 month because I just love it! There are many oportunities here to find jobs, make good friends, and do different things like paddling, playing pull, playing guitar, watch movies... I definitely recommend it to fun and sociable people.

Having to stand at reception for 20 minutes whilst the receptionist reeled off a huge list of rules was boring. "Welcome to our backpackers - here's a huge list of everything you are not allowed to do, and that will be $20 deposit for your key". YAWN!! There is a pool which is a great touch as it's about a...

If you are looking for a smoke filled, dirty place this backpacker is for you. Oh and if you like schlepping all of your crap up three or so flights of stairs, you are in for a treat. You enjoy odd reception times - BONUS! Don't want a clean place for your food and non existent cooking utensils? You'd better...

Only stayed for one night as we had an early morning the next day. The room was fine for what it was, a double room with ensuite for $75. Would've quite happily had a room without an ensuite of it had've been available, as we just wanted to avoid staying in the dorms. Was very impressed that a double room...

I never write reviews, but this place deserves to be boycotted. For a standard, private room, you're paying $75 a night. That's all well and good, until you realize how completely underwhelming this place is. Let's start with the beds, So threadbare that you feel the individual springs poking you throughout the night. Furthermore, the night I slept there, it...

We stayed here for one night, the location is excellent being close to beach, shops and restaurants. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The manager was helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

This hostel has been my home for a month or so. This place doesn't know what hygiene is. It's definitely a nice place where to meet people and have fun. Conditions of the structure are quite ok. The fridges, kitchen and equipment not good. If you are going to work in a farm around the area, choosing this hostel won't...

I spent time here a few months back and It really did make a positive impact on my oz backpacking experience. The people that worked there or some that stayed awhile and worked there like myself really embraced and encouraged a community spirit of offered help and passing it on. All were welcome from the sun loungers, beach combers, long...

We went to mooloolaba to meet some friends and chill for a few days. The backpackers is well located about 10 min walk from the esplanade. We had a private room which had it's own toilet, sink and shower. Then in the room we had a tv with cable and cabinet to keep all our stuff in. Kitchen is pretty...

A very nice place, few minutes walk from the beach and shops and restaurants. The hostel offers all kitchen facilities, and the rooms and very nice and clean. They also offer free surfing boards so you can save money. Very cool place, management aims very friendly and helpful. A bit pricy but I guess like everywhere else on the Sunshine...
