Stayed for 2 nights in The Pavillion cottage , and what a wonderful stay it was! Beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need. Gorgeous decor , comfortable and warm bed, wood fire and air conditioning, spa bath , fully equipped kitchen with supplied continental and bacon , eggs and juice for breakfast , coffee machine , bottle of their own bottled red wine , port, bbq, dvds, books …the list goes on . Very clean and inviting cottage so we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The gardens and property itself is also meticulously maintained with some lovely outdoor areas and right on the Riesling trail . 3 other cottages on the property but well spaced for privacy . Hight recommend !

Our hosts Carol and Russell have produced the best accommodation available in Clare. Once we had settled into A Break in the Vines with our friends we ventured down to the fire pit for drinks with our hosts. After a relaxing happy hour (or two) we spent 2 luxurious nights overlooking the vineyard. Everything has been thought of for your stay. The supplied breakfast was excellent. The property was spotless and problem free. Highly recommend you stay here if staying in Clare. We will definitely be staying there again, but for more nights.

Nothing was too much for Carol and Russell! From the time you booked in they went out of their way to make your experience in Clare as enjoyable as possible and help out in any way they could. The facilities are great, the location is central and you couldn't ask for better guests. A must stay!

So many positives, it's hard to know where to start! We stayed in The Pavilion, the decor and presentation is beautiful, spotlessly clean, complimentary chocolate, port, bottle of wine, eggs and bacon for breakfast, awesome combustion heater with plenty of firewood provisions and the location is very peaceful and private. The owners, Carol & Russell, were lovely and have thought of absolutely everything to make the stay perfect. We can't wait to come back again.

Stayed for 3 nights in "a break in the vines" accommodation which has only been operational since late last year. The place was extremely well appointed with everything well layed out. Bottle of wine and a decanter with port, chocolates, plenty of tea and coffee as well as very generous breakfast provisions. The outside deck amongst the vines was fantastic. The beds were large and comfortable and the spa was a great way to relax at the end of a great day exploring the Clare valley and surrounds. Russell and Carol were extremely welcoming and left nothing to chance. Happy hour on Friday night was a great touch with lots of laughter and some of their own Shiraz which was really nice! We wil definately be back (later in the year in a 1 bedroom accommodation

A fabulous weekend getaway in the new cottage aptly called “A Break in the Vines”. A gorgeous fully equipped cottage 2 bedroom 2 ensuite (plus separate spa room), lounge, dining room and kitchen with everything thought of including full brekky provisions (with the biggest selection of Beerenberg jams I’ve ever seen!) Close to wineries and the perfect place to kick back on the deck overlooking the vines and enjoy a bottle (or bottles) of local wine and relax.

we arrived on the friday afternoon just in time for wine tasting and seating around a fire pit, what a way to start of his birthday. We stayed in the Coach House and once again it would be hard to fault the accommodation, service, the hosts, and what you receive for your money, free bacon and eggs, cereals milk real butter, breakfast juice free bottle of their red, free port, coffee machine, the table was set ready to dine. Wood fire with the wood supplied and ready to light, large spar in the room, chimaneer on the front porch wood supplied surrounded but scrub and birds. ONE BIG BONUS WAS DOGS ALLOWED AND CAN STAY IN THE CABINS.

Accomodation: fantastic Hosts/service: couldn’t ask for more Beds: very comfortable Cleanliness: very clean Breakfast: fresh & plentiful Value: well priced Location: convenient & beautiful We recently had the great pleasure of staying at the beautiful St Helens Country Cottages in the Clare Valentines lley! We left Adelade on the 24th January, (the hottest day on record in Adelaide) before arriving our wonderful hosts sent us a message letting us know our cottage was ready and they had the air conditioner on! When we arrived our cottage was beautifully cool with the our hosts offering all the local information we needed, the location was perfect right on the Reisling Trail, 1km from a local bike hire and walking distance (40min) from Clare’s main st. The following day it was still warm but we decided to jump on the bikes and go for a ride, it was beautiful with a cool breeze, amazing views and peaceful. I love the summer months as they seem to be less congested both on the Reisling trail and in the cellar door that for me is a massive benefit to heading to Clare during the summer months out of the peak season.
