Placed centrally on the Island in a quiet town, this is a lovely hotel with efficient and friendly staff. Often the restaurant is the only one open in the town. Food was good, excellent breakfast buffet. Our room in the building next door to reception had a balcony with sea view. We did not use the indoor pool which looked...

The hotel is right on the waterfront. Great views from the rooms. Rooms very clean and beautiful furnishings. Restaurant a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Staff very helpful and informative on what is great to see and do.

I visited for business and found the room excellent, quiet and convenient. Staff were very helpful at the front desk. The meal at the restaurant was excellent and arrived quickly, despite the restaurant being full on that evening.

Kangaroo Island is a quite large, sparsely populated island south of Adelaide and 4000 km from Antarctica. Kingscote is the biggest town/village on the Island. Aurora is the focal point in Kingscote and has the advantage of being the oldest and largest hotel. The rooms are good, the staff obliging, but the food in the restaurant is basically sub Australian...

Were part of a tour. Stayed for one night. Had an amazing room with a view on the ocean, overall great staff. However, the hotel being packed, the restaurant was really busy and we had to wait more than an hour before getting served. Understandable though. Food was good too.

We stayed in the new part of the hotel, just before Christmas 2015. The interior of the accommodation was nice, bright, spacious and clean. We were on the upper floor with a balcony and a sea view, which was great. A fully equipped kitchen was pretty handy as the restaurants in the area were not great ( and not many...

Our initial experience when shown our room in the older part of the hotel was disappointing. It was hot and tiny before 2 adults and their large suitcases got in and the toilet facilities were cosy - like being in a cupboard. We had been booked into this hotel by our travel agent and the pictures in the brochure looked...

First thing that comes across is the friendly prompt service you get. We had a pleasant stay and had nothing to complain about, and I would recommend it to anyone. It is bang next to the beach, which may not be swim able at all times (must go to Emu Beach which very close), has brilliant bar food.

The Hotel was staffed by friendly and efficient people. Quality and cleanliness of our room was of a very high standard. Restaurant food very nice with a lovely ocean view. Location was complete with walks to the wharf and handy for shops and supermarket. Rear swimming pool was a great refresher in the heat.

You have to be careful when choosing to the location for your hotel at the Kangaroo island. The distance from one end to another is 150km. This is the best hotel in Kingscote. Kids loved the outdoor swimmingpool. Room is large and clean. We had a couple of nice family dinners at the room. The hotel is related really next...
