Great cabins with deck to look out at natural surroundings and wildlife. Very clean and quiet. Short stroll into town and blow hole/beach. Gulch fish and chips shack (great fun just down the street) where we saw giant sting rays collecting scraps. Small playground, pool and penguin tours available.

Good location, facillity also ok. But there is the staff called "Andrew", who bring down the experince and rating to this hotel. This guy acted cold during the checkin, ok, not big deal. But when we had a misunderstanding after the checkout, he showed so dramatically that he should go to theatre to play Shakespeare! Here is the whole thing:...

Andrew T, Manager at Bicheno by the Bay, responded to this review

At the time this event occurred we asked our staff if Qing Z had ever enquired as to where the after checkout washrooms were located. They said no. It does seem unusual that at the time of check out a person would ask where the after checkout washrooms were located. It periodically occurs that a guest will check out and...

Stayed here for 3 days to explore the area. Fabulous. Checkin was warm and welcoming. Lots of helpful advice of what do during our stay (and not to do). One bedroom bungalow (Radiata) had direct view of the blowhole, and a great view of the bay. Whalers Lookout walk a couple of minutes away ( and recommended). Cabin was cosy,...

Lovely little compound by the water. Definitely go for the one bedroom cabins, very comfortable with high ceilings, kitchen, spacious bathroom with laundry and even a carport (which was appreciated on the rainy night we arrived). Andrew the proprietor was very helpful and gracious.

Perfect location, close to local shops, blowhole and walks. We stayed in "jasmine", quite outdated with creaky floors however is very clean and contained everything we needed. Free guest laundry however dryer overheats and doesn't work for awhile.

Stayed here for 2 nights found it to be very Rustic..cabins well spaced. Carport cabins are comfortable without being lavish bug had everything we needed. Manager lit pit fire and sat around it until the rain started. Walking distance to shops and verg close to the coastal tracks < 5 minutes walk. Would recommrnd but don't expect it to be...

We enjoyed this location and our bungalow was very spacious and relaxing. However it is over-priced. The whole set-up needs finishing off. The dirt roads up to the bungalows should be sealed. Reception felt a bit cold; the gentleman ordered full payment up-front before even advising which bungalow we were in. No warning was given that if the door slams...

accommodation was quaint and very noisy when penquins arrived underneath and possum on roof. Good fun though. Main concern wa price we paid compared to the rest of our trip around Tasmania. Twice as much as next night in St helens. Idea of complex is right but getting tired.

Hidden in a natural setting this place offers cabins and small apartments. Ours was very clean and had a beautiful modern bathroom. We were very happy here and felt like we were in the bush. The beach is on the opposite side of the road so great if you like walking. Recommend this highly!

WOW... this place is beautiful. Such a hidden gem in the middle of a small town. We walked in and were greeted by the owners with big smiles. They showed us to our cute little cottage which was pink from the outside. It was relaxed, comfortable, romantic and cosy. Exactly what we wanted. It felt like we were in NZ....
