We stayed in a room in one of the little apartments; luckily, there wasn't anyone else in the other room so we had the whole apartment to ourselves. Had a couch, dining table, TV, bathroom with towels of course, and a kitchenette. We only used the fridge and freezer in the kitchen, which were very handy to have. Only downside...

Our stay was horrible. Guests and staff made us feel very unwelcome in this youth hostel. The guy on staff (of Indian ethnicity, with long dark hair) was as noisy as it gets until 4AM. He was watching videos and speaking loudly with people who seemed to be permanent residents. The paper-thin walls allowed us to hear everything, even after...

Great location and cheap. But felt dirty and worn compared to other backpackers we have stayed at. Very basic. Bunk beds felt like ships- every movement sends the entire bed rocking. Common areas were scruffy and I think rarely cleaned if at all. Not somewhere I would stay again.

We luckily only stayed for 1 night. We originally booked an apartment to have some privacy and a kitchenette. When we arrived the manager told us that he gave the apartment to a family because they came with children... we could alternatively stay in a 4 bed dorm which was in a very bad state. It was also very loud...

Stayed for one night and we were glad we didn't stay longer. We were advised by Booking.com (through which we had booked the beds) to call and advise which time we would arrive. So we did and the person on the other end just said something like "Yeah, ok..". So, upon arrival, around 5pm, we were surprised to find nobody...

This was a terrible place to stay It was grotty. The common room was very tatty with frayed and grubby couches. The toilets were dirty and smelly. The showers equally were grubby with hair in the showers and sinks. The bunks were rickety and the pillows stained Yuck!

The apartment we had smelled like dogs had lived there. The benches were dirty with food and drink spills and the carpet was visibly dirty with hair and sand on it. Not cheap .. would not go back and would not recommend .. unless you're happy to clean the place yourself when you get there!!

The place was nice, clean and well located in Apollo Bay. Warm lounge to hang out. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Good breakfast included and wifi worked perfectly! Great value for money.

We stayed here on July 2012. It was a very nice place to stay during our trip in the Great ocean road. The host was very friendly and helpful. He suggested us a couple of restaurants for dinner that night. The next morning, he went to the supermarket in front of the lodge and bought fresh products. The breakfast was...
