My wife and I stayed here on a Thursday night two weeks ago. We were very warmly welcomed by Ian on arrival in the afternoon and were given a small tour and told a little of the history of the property. We were taken to our beautiful room and given a run down of the amenities and shown a few...

Thanks for taking the time out to pen a review, and for the kind words. Madeleine's special rhubarb compote often receives a mention, and her rhubarb plants consistently produce very fine and deep red rhubarb for our breakfast tables. We trust you enjoyed the remainder of your travel in Australia and had a safe journey back to the UK. We...

We were a group of 10. This meant that we had the main lounge to ourselves. This was wonderful and the area was very comfortable around the fire. The hosts went out of there way to welcome us and make our experience very enjoyable. they could not do enough. the bedrooms were luxurious with beautiful bed linen. We were able...

Peaceful and comfortable accommodation, nicely located for walking into Cowes or along the nearby beach. Lovely welcome with suggestions of where to do and what to do with clean and well-maintained rooms. Excellent breakfast (you probably won't need lunch afterwards) with choices for everyone - though I'd particularly recommend Ian's cooked breakfast.

Thanks for your kind words, and choosing to stay with us... Indeed our chef's breakfast receives many mentions here in the guest book and on TripAdvisor, and Ian's travel experiences all over the world are reflected in his kitchen and our breakfast offerings! If you're travelling this way again, we would love to see you... Kind regards, Ian & Madeleine...

It's always nice to visit, peaceful surroundings, great hosts and yummy breakfast as usual, prepared by Ian. With the ever increasing crowds visiting Phillip Island, it's always a relief to enter the gates to this beautiful garden and property.

Thanks to Maddie and Ian for your relaxed personalised hospitality. Tasty and filling cooked breakfast (by Ian with local eggs and fresh herbs from the garden), lovely port n chocolate night cap and great advice/recommendations for dinner and sight seeing. Such a clean, comfortable, relaxed and peaceful place to wind down even if it was only for one night

We've just completed a 2 month holiday in Australia and New Zealand, spraying in a number of B&B's. Glen Isla was up there with the best in terms of facilities and location. It was top of the pile in terms of the breakfast prepared by Ian.

As a result of cancelled flights, we arrived feeling stressed and very late for our long anticipated Ultimate Penguin Encounter. The side luggage/ utility room is genius - if only every high end hotel could provide one. We were sent on...
