Very nice cottages for a relaxing break. Cottage was clean and comfortable. Bed is great. Probably slightly overpriced for what you get. Would expect soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Wasn't there. Some milk in the fridge for a cup of coffee would have been handy. Overall it is a very nice place. Just misses the mark with the little...

We stayed over Easter and had a great stay! Arriving late, Doug left the key in the door and lights on! The cottage had everything we need, fully equipped kitchen, comfy couches, wood-fire, TV, shared BBQ area, lots of space for our dog to run. The bed was extremely comfy and the property was peaceful! There are no fences, so...

Arrived at the cottages and met Doug who was very accommodating. Cute little cottages situated ten minutes from the main town of Lorne. Nice and quiet, very serene. Decent kitchen but would have liked to see some basic cooking staples like pepper and oil. Only decaf coffee which was a bit strange. The water was also very brown and we...

Banksia Cottages has a magic to it. Settled in amongst the Otway forest of glorious gum trees, it took me staright back to my childhood. The cottages are clean and cosy with great beds and you sleep like a baby....it's soooo quiet. The down side is the ants in the kitchen and the poor tv and internet reception. Given I...

A terrific option for couples with fur babies. Ten minutes inland from Lorne, this proved to be a breath of fresh air - literally - as it's surrounded by beautiful bush land. Perfect for escaping the hustle & bustle of town during the summer peak season. The chalet was very well presented, with plenty of space. The front porch a...

Stayed here for one night and Doug was very friendly! Cute place with a stove fire place! Fire wood is also provided so that's definitely a plus! Cottage was clean and well planned out! Quiet area with a nice view from the front porch! Easy to fine!

The cottage was clean and well laid out. The beds were very comfortable and linen clean and fresh. It is a good size considering there were 4 adults and two large dogs. The surrounds were peaceful and beautiful. Judging by our pets expressions they thoroughly loved the open wide space bordered safely by trees. They enjoyed roaming the green and...

Banksia is about a 10 minute drive from Lorne along a windy forest road, easy to miss the sign so keep your eyes peeled for it. The cottage is simply furnished, pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. Could have done with a few more home comforts as it's not a cheap option, some decent coffee not sachets and herbal...

Stayed at the dog friendly cottage for a weekend. The cottages were nestled peacefully in the Otways to ensure peace and privacy without.the hustle and bustle and busyness of Lorne. Lorne is about 10 minute drive through windy roads so be prepared to accept this if you want to go into town regularly. The cottage was spotlessly clean but a...

It's great that you were able to appreciate the mood of the surroundings here. i do apologise for the shortage of toiletries and tea, coffee and sugar. These should always be topped up as a matter of course. i will look into the why the TV did not work.
