Stopped for one night in Port Fairy and found this hotel was open for a lovely meal of seafood chowder. A great wine list. Perfect find and walking distance from our riverfront accommodation. We enjoyed the vistas of beautifully restored old (whalers?) cottages and what looks like great shopping in this seafront town. Fully recommend the Victoria as a very...

It is a standard type of hotel in a small town, they offered all the basics, expect nothing more. the room is spacious, the staff is very friendly. But in my opinions, it might be better to stay in one of those cottages while in here.

Food was nice – we had the salmon with crispy skin which came with a large portion of steamed veggies. Staff were friendly and could not do enough, even changed the meal order for us at the last minute. The restaurant has a large open fire with sofa in front, for those chilly winter evenings.

I've goin to the Vic many times over the last 4 years, it has a special draw as our girls love the play room. However, the prices just keep going up, compared to similar venues it just seems very expensive for reasonable, but not brilliant food. They're now charging $8 for a bottle of water and I think that maybe...

I visit port fairy often as we have a holiday house and have eaten often at the three other hotels often. I don't go to the victoria often as it is expensive . The food is good but the atmosphere is not fine dinning, but the prices would lead to expect that. Last night i took 5 friends to dinner...

The main meals was...

We were hungry tired and wet, looking for a nice meal. Kim welcomed us at the door and we had an amazing meal. Awesome food, great service and excellent wine, we had a lovely night in front of the open fire. Highly recommend a visit anytime!

Nice new well presented motel apartments in good position in town, but not well sound proofed. Neighbours talked to 2pm and walked around all night. Heard every step. Wa also had a room facing the street, but in this quiet town, the locals had a loud discussion right outside.

Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. A very comprehensive menu with something for everyone. Meals were beautifully presented and delicious. We couldn't resist the deserts - awesome! Great effort by the new owner and her team, can't wait to go back.

We booked for dinner for 4 adults and 2 children. After waiting over an hour after ordering our meals we had to chase up the waitress to let her know we had not been served. Many other diners in after us were being served before us. She told us there had been a 'stuff up' in the kitchen and we...
