We stayed here Oct 2016 and would highly recommend. A warm welcome was a good start and the room was very clean with everything we needed. Lovely balcony looking over a courtyard and we could see the sea. Breakfast was typical continental but very nice...More

Yes you can self-cater to a point as they provide two large fridges for guests to use in an area off the courtyard of the main hotel. The hotel doesn't provide fridges for the rooms but we found these shared fridges worked fine, we put drinks in there and we just labelled things. Other people put lunch things in there such as ham and cheese. Also in that storage area there are bike racks to lock bikes to either ones you've hired which is what we did (Brooks bikes just up the road are very good and really cheap) or bring them yourself. We would also recommend rooms in the main hotel as you get a large terrace to sit out on, we had a seaview room so were upstairs which were the more expensive rooms but worth the extra money. The rooms downstairs overlooking the garden/courtyard are fine as well as they have large terraces to sit out on. There is also some general seating in the courtyard but we spent most of our time on our room balcony/terrace. I don't know what the public areas are like in the annex over the road. Hope the above helps.
