This hostel is really far away from the action. The shuttle bus is good but it doesn't run nearly as frequently as it should. The hostel has a nice "hippie" vibe but considering it's meant to be a quiet hostel, you can hear everything everywhere. The doors to the bedrooms have slats in the them that let in light and...

I stayed in a premium deluxe ensuite room with air-con (upstairs), it was ok but the bed was way too short for me (not a real Queen-size bed) and the couch looked stained and dirty. Room wasn't vacuumed properly when I arrived. I cleaned mould from around the bathroom tap and tiles eventually as it annoyed me!! There was a...

If I were to describe my stay at this hostel in one word that word would be 'terrible'. Me and my partner were shoved into a cramped 5 bed dorm, where we were subject to 34 degree heat at night, cockroaches in and around our bed, not to mention on the cutlery Aswell. You would expect the noise level to...

When we first arrived we loved this hostel it reminded us of places we had visited in Byron! The hostel offers a free bus throughout the day to noosa junction bus stop and the main beach which is a nice gesture as this hostel is not near anything apart from the national park! There are signs everywhere saying "no noise/drink...

My friend and I stayed for four nights. It is nice that there's a free shuttle bus, but the driver(s) aren't keen for a talk, which is a pity. The hostel is covered in signs that say 'no goon', 'no drinking after 7pm', 'checkout before 9.30am' and 'strictly no use of facilities after 10am', '$5 fee when you want to...

I stay there for 2 nights and it is nightmare. The policy says guests need to keep the noise down to the reasonable level, but the first night people were sitting outside and talk loudly, the second night there were people playing butbilliards at mid-night. Do not recommend this hostel and personally won't stay there again.

We stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in a double room and the room was clean and tidy, the bed comfy and the communal shower area was also clean and tidy and looked recently renovated. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, recommend for anyone travelling to Noosa :)

The hostel itself was pretty nice. We stayed in a room of 5, and each 2xrooms of 5 had their own bathroom and kitchen/fridge etc which was convenient, we didn't struggle much with needing the facilities. The rooms are pretty small and no lockers, and people don't really lock the doors either. Wifi was free and worked in the rooms....

The hostel is very nicely furnished and decorated, the whole atmosphere is very chilled. Unfortunately it is quite far away from the actual center and you have to walk a lot or take the shuttle and there are prohibitive signs everywhere which destroyed the atmosphere a little...

We had a nice stay here last week. The staff were all friendly and kind. The common areas were very clean, we hadn't seen a clean kitchen in weeks and it was lovely however our bedroom was far from clean. Understandably when you are near the beach there is sand everywhere but the rooms were so so tiny and under...

Chill out and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Dolphins Beach House at beautiful Sunshine Beach, Noosa. This secluded, hippy-style haven is the closest hostel to the beach in Noosa, situated next to Noosa National Park with a boutique shopping village just one minute away. The ambience of this family-run hostel is quirky and unique - definitely not part of a franchise backpackers business. The owners are experienced travelers themselves, and Dolphins Beach House reflects their love of travel, with many exotic artifacts from India to Burma and Thailand. Once you slip past the gardens, the trees, the funky pink walls and the Guatemalan architecture, you'll realize that you have found a restful retreat. It's no wonder that Dolphins Beach House is Lonely Planet's best pick for Noosa for 2010 / 2011.
