The best thing was being near our friends, great meals, good beds...no great beds, brilliant staff, anything wrong , they fix it in a jiff. Not far form town either. I really did love it here, and I will certainly be back again as it's the perfect place to stay when meeting up with good friends.

Once a beautiful building surrounded by fields withing a stones throw of the A19 and easy to find. Now still reasonably easy to find but in the middle of a building site. Remember those holiday shots from abroad with pictures from your windows of a building site. This is Holystone.

We normally stay in Whitley Bay when visiting friends. The Premier Inn at Holystone was great as an alternative. We didn't have to worry about parking, the room rate was brilliant and taxi fares very reasonable to Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. Worth a look if you don't want to be in the thick of it in Whitley.

So when we first arrived we noticed the hotel was having an extension built and were concerned that there would be noise.... NO, THERE WAS NO NOISE. The rooms as always in Premier Inn were immaculate, lovely comfy beds and pillows and great shower and bath. The attached pub does a fantastic breakfast and accommodated us for late night food... Real Northern Hospitality. Friendly staff, amazing cleaning standards and a chef who does a full English proud. What a great place to stay. More parking spaces than most supermarkets and the hotel is in a good location.

Mainly the slowest kettle in the world, a really wobbly bed (I though Prem Inn all had these super new mattresses now?) which meant for an uncomfortable night. Heater didn't work either and shower really slow. Breakfast nice and staff really friendly

Great service, breakfast and evening meal at the Brewer's Fayre next door. The room was a bit dark, but that is usually the case in hotels. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I really rate Premier Inn and for once, I agree with the advertising!

Yet another business trip yet another premier inn. OK so it was your typical set up, no air conditioning but a fan was provided. It was clean tidy quiet despite the extension works going on. Staff really friendly and helpful with my travel arrangements. On site Brewers fayre pub come restaurant. Lamb shank was lovely and recommend. Tempting display of... More

This hotel is in the middle of a building site, apart from extensions being done to the Premier Inn, there is a housing development, and the area is a big mess. The hotel itself was ok, however first impressions were not great, as I was ignored for an unnecessary long period, while the receptionist phoned every hotel in the area,... More

Typical premier inn room which was clean and a good size. We were in room 126 which over looked the extension building site, this didn't bother us as we were out during the day. Beware the sink in the bathroom, the water comes out very quickly and if not careful you will be very wet; we were drenched a few... More
