We were in Athens Avenue for 7 nights. From the moment I called to ask about availabilities and prices till the moment we checked out we were positively impressed by the personnel! All of them polite, willing to assist at all times and above all professionals.
Check-in experience smooth and fast. Great breakfast with a nice variety of food, have tried all of them as we were for a long stay and there was not a single item that was not tasty and fresh! I always value breakfast on 2 things. Coffee and fried eggs...loved them.
The rooms very comfortable and the location of the hotel unbelievable convenient. Within minutes (with taxi) in the city centre. Bus stops just outside the hotel.
We were travelling with our 16 months baby and the hotel i would say is super kinds friendly. I am happy that we have chosen Athens Avenue for our Christmas Vacation in Athens and for sure next time i will be staying with them.

This hotel is certainly central. It’s right next to the main road and unfortunately doesn’t have double glazing so the traffic is audible 24/7 although I’ve heard it’s better at the back rooms. I hadn’t seen strip clubs/bars in years but there a are number nearby but that doesn’t demean the area. The hotel itself is clean and modern and has a bar and restaurant which closes at midnight. I missed it by 5 minutes and couldn’t be served. There is a mini bar but ours was empty and stayed that way. We asked the reception host to find a nice restaurant and he called around until he did. There was no water in the room and in Greece this is a necessity but it was available from the bar. We opted out of the breakfast as €50/head and because of the price of that didn’t even venture into the restaurant. The hotel booked us a taxi and we handed him the address to the restaurant. He immediately told us that it would take a long time to get their due to the anti NATO demonstrations and so he called a lovely restaurant right next to the sea rather than in the centre of the city, along a strip of restaurants and reserved a table for us and came back at midnight to collect us. If you need a taxi then Stellios is your man. +30 697 1804126. So reasonable. We got ripped off a couple of times with other taxi drivers but not Stellios.

We are for professional females who came here on a tour and were assigned this hotel.

Hotel is absolutely lovely and modern. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very big for European standards and the bathrooms were fantastic with standard showers and all the amenities.

However the one flaw is that it is not in the city center. The Taxi’s were easily accessible on Uber and cost about seven to €10 for any once trip.

The breakfast was lovely with an assortment of pastries, eggs, fruits, and fresh coffee and tea. The staff was also very nice and spoke English well.

It definitely made visiting Athens a delight and highly recommend this place especially to Americans as it is the standards we are used to. And of course they had elevators!

A nice 2 night stay in a comfortable room with very quiet and efficient air conditioning. Modern bathroom.

Restaurant does a very good breakfast with lots of variety and dinner was excellent.
There are buses outside the door which take you to Syntagma square in about 15 minutes for €1.50. Easy from there to the Plaka, Parthenon etc.
Friendly, helpful staff. Only small negative is the towels and sheets could do with renewal.
Would stay again.

Note: if you go into the city at night be aware that taxis will only take cash. We got caught.

Not in a good location and not close to tourist attractions. Do not book if you are with small kids, they kicked us out of the restaurant because our small child, was loud, and the staff caused quite the scene in front of all the guests. It was embarrassing to say the least. Keep in mind, we were only waiting for our room not utilizing the restaurant. Which I understand, but we were there because they were preparing our room. We were not going to wait in the hot summer sun. The area is surrounded by adult entertainment bars/clubs and not a lot of restaurants in the area. Also, one of the reasons I booked the hotel was that it advertised an airport shuttle. That is not the case, they can call and book a taxi for you just like anywhere else, but no dedicated airport shuttle. And if you are a large party/family you will need more than one taxi. Definitely not 4 star service, should be listed as a 3 star hotel at the most. The Novotel Athens has better service, amenities, and they love kids/families, and it’s listed as a 3 star. Stay at the Novotel for a more pleasant stay! Better area as well. I will admit that I should’ve looked on a map when I booked it, but I was busy with other things and just needed a place to stay for one night, thankfully it’s only 1 night or else I would eat the money and leave.

This is a nice hotel, modern and clean. It's located centrally. It's situated in a noisy street but our room was in the other side, room 501 and did not have any issue with the noise. Breakfast was very good, with many choices. The minibar comes with a couple of water bottles and 4 soft drinks, for free. The reception guys, and staff in general, are helpful. We needed iron and board; taxi reservation etc, and they were helpful. Generally speaking, it did what it was supposed to do without any issues to report.

This hotel was comfortable, clean and modern. It was by a major road so it was a bit noisy. The breakfast selection was pretty good. It was a 15-20 min walk to the closest metro station at Sygrou. The showers were small and a bit awkward to maneuver in but that wasn’t a big deal.

This hotel is not a 4 start hotel. It is a very basic hotel with not even a coffee machine or hot water kettle. First and foremost, it’s at least 20-25 min drive from plaka/acropolis area. So, if you are expecting to walk to tourist attractions, don’t stay here. There is nothing to do around the hotel, but there are bunch of strip clubs around this place, without a whole lot of food choices.
I gave three stars just for the amazing breakfast they had.

Athens avenue is a very nice and simple 4 star hotel with very nice couteous staff and management. Good rooms and nice buffet breakfast, the hotel is not too far from the major touristic places a 5min cab or bus ride is good to go. I enjoyed visiting the church opposite the hotel. It's on the main road so you can't miss the hotel I had a comfortable stay

We stayed here as part of a group of friends visiting sites in Greece. The hotel was modern clean, and comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. Food was very good. The rooms are bright and large with new furnishings. Others have commented on the road noise and the area around the hotel. I agree with those assessments, but otherwise this seems a nice place to stay. From our 9th floor room right now there’s a clear view of the Parthenon.

Probably 14.00 for check in and 12.00 for check out. The hotel's Official website would be more accurate though.

If you want somewhere simple, no frills, but with good grilled food and a nice family atmosphere, try Barbadimos Nea Smyrni; across the road and a few minutes walk to Spathari 2. Easy to find
