If the hotel was as good as the location then I would give it five stars. The hotel offers good size rooms that require refurbishment and hopeless wifi. We found the restaurant food to be good quality but the table service very poor. The reception staff need retraining and the hotel does not achieve its four star rating. The standard...

We stayed here for 3 night’s bed and breakfast in a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the courtyard. Lovely and quiet room and good firm comfortable beds. Great Wi-Fi. Breakfast was fabulous. Only used the restaurant once during our three night stay, (apart from breakfast) and must say the food and staff were excellent. Prices are a little high...

We stayed here for 2 nights half-board in a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the courtyard. Room was large enough although smaller than many other Paradors, likewise the bathroom. What was an improvement here was the large double bed which was soft enough to be comfortable! Staff were all very friendly and helpful, again something that can be lacking...

Fantastic hotel in a great building with lots of character. Staff were great as was the service. However, as with all of the Paradors we have stayed in, the food lets it down. In a hotel of this quality you expect the food to be better than just average especially at the price being charged. It sounds great on the...

Words fail to describe this jaw-droppingly beautiful Parador. The typical advantage of a good Parador is that you do not only admire the building but you can also stay at this monastery converted into a luxurious hotel. The Parador de Cuenca is a gem, a lovely hotel in a dramatic location, perched on a cliff overlooking the town of Cuenca....

Excellent location, overlooking the 'hanging huses' and in easy walking distance to the old town. A spacious and airy Parador, converted sympathetically: an ideal base for exploring the town and region.

This is probably the best Parador (of 29) that we have visited, both in terms of location and quality, certainly it rivals Ronda and Jaen for stunning location on a high promontory, only a short bridge walk from the old city of Cuenca. We had a top floor (superior) room with a view of the old city and the gorge,...

Very nice Parador in a fabulous location. The hotel itself is a historic highlight of Cuenca. Our room was large warm and well furnished. The bathroom was very large with a separate WC and 2 sinks with plenty of counter space. The Building is well maintained and the staff efficient and helpful. The modern art in the hotel was a...

Cuenca was the last stop on our one month journey throughout Spain. The walled city has spectacular walks and views. The ancient cathedral sports fabulous modern stained glass windows. We walked up to the statue of Jesus which afforded amazing vistas and we were entertained by a convocation of eagles soaring around the peak and the valley below. We stayed...
