Great to arrive at a resort by float plane and wonderful to see animals within their natural environment, for me, bears in particular! One of the Guides, Debra was an absolute standout regarding her knowledge of and care for individual bears. Second last day of the season we we

My husband and I were on the 3 day trip, including the one night at Campbell River. For us this was long enough as we had already done a whale watching trip in Telegraph Cove and Knight Inlet for us was about the bears. And boy did we see bears! From the moment the float plane la

This was our fourth visit to Knight Inlet - yes we can't quite get enough of this beautiful location and the wildlife that live there. We didnt see heaps of bears unlike in past years due to the water levels being low (forest fires and hot summer) saying that we still saw about 1

We spent 2 nights at the lodge and a wonderful time viewing bears and Eagles! The guides were very knowledgeable. I like that they are concerned about the bears and their environment. We were kept busy with activities which was good as there is no tv or wifi but that is a plus

We are hoping to travel from vancouver to Victoria via coach and ferry. Stay in Victoria for 3 nights. Drive to Campbell river and to the 1night at Campbell river and 2 nights at knight inlet lodge. We then need to get back to Vancouver airport to fly to Calgary. Trying to work out easiest way to do that can you fly from from Campbell river to Vancouver airport or does it need to be ferry from Nanaimo? If you can fly what do you do with hire car? What time does sea plane drop you back from knights inlet? And lastly what time to flights leave Campbell River to Vancouver? Thanks Clare
My only addition to the other answers is............stay 3 days you will regret the 2 days. People we met that were staying 2 days were so regretful on the day the left.

Hi, my husband & I are looking forward to a 4-night stay at Knight's Inlet in Sept. We have viewed bears at Katmai National Park in Alaska about 3 years ago being in bush planes & float planes for about 3 weeks. Loved it so much, just had to do this again. We are now 69 & 70 in pretty fair shape. Are the hiking experiences not too bad for old folks? We do a little hiking when at national parks but just thought I'd ask what you think. We had to walk to viewing platforms previously but the ground was fairly flat. The description at Knight's Inlet suggests climbing & uneven ground. Think we can do it? Don't want to miss anything at all. Thanks, Molly
Hi Molly. We're in our early sixties and had no problems whatsoever with the tracking and hiking. The staff are all knowledgeable and well-trained and will be able to recommend a programme to suit your tastes and abilities. You'll love it.

Can we do a day trip to knight inlet from Vancouver and if so how long is the journey?
Sorry but all of our tours require staying at our lodge for at least one night. Also the floatplane departs from Campbell River on Vancouver Island which can easily be reached by scheduled flight from Vancouver.

Hi we are on a three day two night trip in September. How many tours will we have in total to see the grizzlies. Trying to work out what type of tour we should book for when we are in Campbell River. Thank you
When we were there in Oct., we did the grizzly tours several times a day. The last day I believe we did 2-3 grizzly tours. We were able to do the tours that interested us most. The staff is very gracious and oh so willing to please and pamper the guests. You'll get spoiled. When we were in Campbell River, we also did a grizzly tour before going to Knight Inlet. We can never see enough bears, you know. You'll love, love, love it. Hope this answers your question.
