This quiet auberge sits right at the edge of the huge Erg Chebbi Dunes in the Sahara. It is a great place to stay. Everything is clean and well kept. The service is friendly and the food is great. They know many languages so communication is easy. Some evenings there is even traditional Berber music. You can walk right out...

We came to Merzouga to ride camels and camp in the desert. The owners of the auberge arranged a memorable camel safari to a full-moon bivouac in the Sahara. The guides cooked good food and were very friendly. We spent the following day and night in the auberge. We chatted with some of the locals who work in the auberge...

For us it was important to find a hotel close to the dunes and we could not find better than Auberge Sahara. The golden sands starts behind the hotel: you just put your suitcase in the room and climb the dunes! Omar, the owner, has done everything to put us at ease: very kind, helpful and professional! great for anyone...

This little oasis truly feels like a home away from home, with genuinely friendly hosts that love to share their special place and knowledge of the incredible surrounds with you. Having stayed at Auberge Sahara 3 times now, twice as a couple & once for our wedding as family group of 24 in total. I highly recommend a relaxing stay...

You'll never forget this place - beautifully simple rooms, incredible views, good food and CAMELS! We stayed during August and Ramadan so spent most of the day doing very little with the Berbers and then we slept on the roof 'terrace' at night as it was so warm. I'll never forget falling asleep under the stars listening to a group...

We arrived in Merzouga in the late afternoon and walked into several guest houses before choosing auberge Sahara. Mohamed was by far the friendliest host and the auberge seemed to have everything we were looking for: sitting right on the edge of the dunes you litterally walked out of the hotel and were THERE! A beautiful pool that looked very...
