Not the first time we've been here and am very pleased that we found this place! Perfect stop off before/during/after walks, friendly atmosphere, family friendly, food was delicious. My only criticism would be that the sandwiches lacked a bit of 'oomph', and filling but enjoyable none the less.

Called in on spec to dine on a quiet Tuesday evening. We have dined here before and never had cause to feel let down. This was no exception. My partner chose the home made shepherds pie with fresh vegetables and I had a rib eye steak with a green peppercorn sauce. My steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty....

Popped in for a drink on way back from lovely walk in north downs. This pub could be so lovely but the bar staff were really cold and unfriendly. They were advertising mulled wine but when I asked for one the lady just looked at me, smirked and said only at Christmas. I guess it was New Year's Day. Their...

Booked a table (which we thoroughly recommend - it's a popular place!) and we felt right at home as soon as we stepped in. Very friendly and efficient service- the food is amazing! Set within a picturesque surroundings this really is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some good food. Can't wait to return! Dessert was amazing too!

Four of us visited the Crown Inn for a Friday lunch in July, prior to a visit to Groombridge Place. We enjoyed a good lunch from the varied menu, which was nicely cooked with good portions - including duck breast, fish and chips, steak burger and pasta. This is a 'good old English' pub in a village setting, with quality...

Thanks to the lovely staff who made us very welcome. My wife and I just wanted a quick snack at lunch and after a small mix up over the order - happily enjoyed three hours with friends whilst the kids played in the beer garden. The staff couldn't have been more polite (and apologetic over the error.) The pub itself...

Not a full on review as I have yet to eat here, although the menu always looks terrific and the dining room looks beautifully traditional English pub. It's round the corner from me and a beautiful real English pub where you sit either inside or out on the grass bank watching the world go by - beers include my favourite...

Well kept Larkins and Harvey's. Sit in or out. Recommended. Food also looked good and has a good reputation. I will be going back. Outside is best with a view of the church and houses around the green so if the weather permits...

Returning to this lovely village pub I was again surprised at the skill and efficiency of the staff at serving up a top class faultless meal. Beer was superb. The menu looked like ordinary pub fare but the plate told a different story.Superb duck breast and snake and snail pie. Even the ice cream was a cut above the ordinary.Keep...

This is not the first time that we have eaten here and we always receive a warm welcome on our return. As well as the main menu there is a separate gluten free menu. The food is good wholesome pub food and plenty of it which is what we needed after a long day!! A typical country pub atmosphere.
