Neque, our clean attractive thatched roof white-washed octagonal casita was elegantly decorated in modern minimalist style with a firm king size bed, tree-trunk nightstands, low table and chairs, an indoor hammock, wooden bench, large closet with electronic safe and a ceiling fan. The attractive open air bathroom features a cool water shower, sink and toilet alcove with luxurious Occitane soap...

This is a special place to stay for a few days. The location and setting are beautiful. It has only 12 or so huts. The design, huts, everything is special as in natural and integrated with nature. It is calming and relaxing. The cold water in shower is fine given the weather. Didn't mind it but I think more than...

Beautiful and sparklingly clean rustic rooms are mosquito-proofed with fine mesh under the eves, in the doors and "window" openings. Food is freshly prepared for every order and is excellent. I suggest you take wines; no corkage and the staff look after them well. For a few days retreat from the rest of civilisation, this is your own slice of...

Very nice place and very kind people. Good cooking. Great room but no mosquito net, a small and non expensive investment. A nice place in a beautiful nature, ideal to rest after trekking in Tayrona Park. Isabelle et Guy

Though we had a great stay up until the morning of our departure, I have to leave a negative review as we missed our flight back to Medellin and incurred almost $400 of dollars of expense and an entire wasted day of our vacation due to the poor advice of the manager who advised us to leave for the airport...

I recently spent three nights at the Merecumbe. I loved my round, thatched-roof room. It was beautiful, elegant, private, and comfortable. I enjoyed the attached lounging deck. I loved the peaceful beach, especially the shaded hammocks. The food was terrific. The staff was gracious and accommodating. I want to go back, and I'm recommending it to my friends.

This is one of the best designed places we have stayed at. The jungle surrounds but does not suffocate you. The service is up to 5 star. The individual buildings are consistent with some of the area history. The food was really good and you can add to the menu with special requests with minimum to no fuss. The beach...

I spent three nights at this incredible Eco lodge. The rooms were very reminiscent of the safari tents I enjoyed throughput Africa. The bathroom was huge and very well appointed. But, be prepared for a no hot water shower. It is by design as it is so very humid, the cool water is refreshing. The massage with Daniel on the...

The Merecumbe hotel was extremely accommodating, the food was amazing, the kitchen was open at all times of the day for drinks. The staff was friendly and enjoyable to be around. Even when my mom wanted a spider removed from the room it happened.

As many others have cited, the setting is lush and beautiful and peaceful. Water is unswimmable, which was a bummer but not deal breaker. Chairs could definitely use cushions. The food was good. Our room was lovely. Loved the outdoor shower, etc. My main "beef" was with the service in general and difficulty in ordering meals. Don't really get the...
