As a stop over location, this Hotel is clean and convenient to the 401 as well as to the many local amenities. The front desk staff are pleasant, proficient and professional. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about this property. This is why I was so surprised, after them telling us about the 'awesome complimentary hot breakfast' offered the next morning, that we had the experience we did. Breakfast started at 5:30 which is wonderful for us early risers and the coffee was good and strong and the server was pleasant. But, by 6 am the food that came out on my plate tasted as though it was so old. I'm sure the breakfast sausage was from the previous morning. It was as slightly warm, at best, and so old and dried out. I couldn't even eat it! So horrible. Eggs ordered over easy also arrived way over cooked - brown on both sides, barely warm let alone hot and zero yoke left. Definitely a fried egg and nowhere near over easy. The fried tomato had sprouts growing out of the seeds (it was so old) and the toast was literally served as soggy bread. The baked beans looked like old dishwater and were more liquid than beans. The deep fried potatoes were ok. It makes me feel nauseated to repeat the experience!
To be honest, I know things happen in the kitchen and normally have lots of patience and compassion but I would have been way to embarrassed to send my food back. I would have had to complain about the entire plate and I just didn't have the heart, the time or the opportunity as the server didn't come back to check.
I just want to suggest that Quality Inn would be better off to offer their guests a simple, boring continental breakfast. Associating yourself with a restaurant of this low caliber might take away from everything else you strive for in your ratings. Nice big, clean rooms and pleasant professional staff but this is restaurant and it's hot breakfast is not a 'compliment' to your franchise!

We stay here on a regular basis. Booked the suite for New Years eve, you know, king bed, large room, Jaccuzi tub. Great rate, the motel is a bit outdated, the ice machine on second floor, oops they took tha one away a long time ago, down to first floor, sign says closed for cleaning, it hasnt worked since at least August. halfway across motel and finally a working ice machine. As the evening progressed we decided to fill the jacuzi tub, stopper doesn't fit so i get plastic wrap from motel glasses. Perfect, fill the tub, go to turn on dial to activate jets, no dial just the post. Maintenance brings up vice grips. Picture below. I turn on jets, maybe 3 of them work, hardly enough movement from the to ripple water. Jets run for less than 5 minutes and quit, now it doesnt work at all. Very dissapointed. Breakfast was ok.

We stayed here 1 night before we left for our trip. Hotel is in a good location, you can walk to restaurants and to Walmart. Front desk staff was friendly. We left too early to have breakfast. The room was clean, bed was comfortable but the furniture is outdated and tough looking. Price was right for what we needed it for.

Stayed here for a week as it was close to where I was meeting for work. Picked it due to the restaurant and lounge in it and the breakfast that was included. Well, to start with the restaurant and lounge were both closed due to Covid. I totally understand that this was not controlled by them but some warning when I booked would have been nice.
Check in was fine. Not particularly friendly but perfectly professional. Unfortunately that was the last of the expectations that was met for this stay. The walk to my room was an eye opener. The hotel was in such bad shape. Walls, doors and floors all falling apart. Looks like no maintenance has been done on this hotel since it opened. I mean I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and have no problem with hotels like Super 8 and Motels 6 but this was ridiculous. I didn't want to touch anything.
I was so worried getting to my room that my room itself would be as bad. Fortunately it wasn't. The room itself was OK. Not in particularly good condition but compared to everything else, it was OK. I went straight to the bed and took off the sheets and inspected the mattress. I was sure it would be stained and not sleepable. Well, of the two, the one was acceptable. The sheets were clean. The room was very warm and muggy, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner right away. It sounded like it would shake itself apart at any time but stayed together for my stay.
The bathroom was OK expect for the shower. It was hard to describe. It actually looked like the shower and tub was a cheap looking grey plastic cover that went over the original tub and shower. The edges were all sealed with a thick layer of silicone that looked like it was applied by a 4 year old who was finger painting. I mean it was terrible. When I used it, there was such a gap in the new cover and what it was obviously covering, that every step I took in the shower felt like I was walking across a trampoline. It was very strange indeed.
All I can say is lesson learned. This was my first stay at a Quality Inn and I have to say, don't think I will repeat the experience.

Quality Inn in Woodstock needs to be closed and renovated. This inn is in terrible condition. We went with a group of 10 families for a tournament. The rooms smell of stale cigarettes mixed with mildew and mold. One room had wet carpet and smelled like something died in it. Two rooms were just as bad. There are visible signs of mold in the hallways. The carpets look water ruined and haven’t been changed in decades. The pool is literally a swamp. Half of the exit doors do not work. The elevators are out of service; the stairwells smell of urine. The exterior needs painting, shingles are falling off the roof. There are prison bars on the windows. Bugs crawling around. Rusted drains in the washrooms. It’s horrible.

The the best part is the breakfast buffet. It’s one of the nicer hotel breakfast I’ve had. Staff is friendly.

Hotel is not upkept, everything could use a good cleaning!, this hotel is not "Quality". I am not a picky traveler as long as things are clean even if dated I can give a great review, but unfortunately, not with this one! Hallways carpets are dirty and there is a terrible smell throughout, many days there would be garbage in the hallways as there was no room service at all for the duration of the stay. Was there for a week and a half stay and no refreshment of towels or anything, and even when I went to ask for some on the 5th day they forgot to send up and had to ask again. Room was dusty and carpet dirty, toliet had a red mold in it. Front desk staff where not overly concerned about customer service and ensuring your stay was good! Complimentary breakfast was not good, just a few items at the desk.

This hotel needs a total refresh. Aside from the fact that it is dated, it is downright dirty. I walked into my room to a macaroni noodle on the carpet, pubic hair in the shower and filthy carpets. I cannot understand the lack of cleanliness in a chain hotel.

For being the Award Winner for Best Choice Hotels in Canada, this hotel wasn't really anything special actually. There was no compimentary breakfast and no Internet available in the lounge. Rooms were decent, clean, meets requirements. Location of the hotel was good, near the freeway. I'd say 3 stars is about right. If you're staying in Woodstock, Ontario, this is probably one of the better choices there. It ended being 122 Canadian dollars I believe, 3 people, 2 double beds. Booked through choicehotels website. Peace.
