Looked nice on Internet, but very dated and basic, nothing open in the evenings in the village, lovely hosts very accommodating, the area is extremely quiet although within a10/15 minute drive there are lots of walks, not a place to go if you like a bit of night life

My boyfriend and I stayed at Le Chat Bleu for 2 nights. All I can say is I was so unbelievably impressed with everything! We stayed in the Bleue room and it was so lovely and relaxing. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept really well. We also had the English breakfast one morning and Jane's amazing pancakes...

We stayed here for a night last weekend. We received such a warm welcome along with a cold beer at the bar, both just what we needed after a day of driving. We then had a little sleep before our meal that we had arranged with Jane beforehand. The evening meal was fantastic, French onion soup with crispy French stick,...

Le Chat Bleu (The Blue Cat) is in the centre of a quite village, from the outside the house is immediately appealing. The owners told us it was originally a small hotel and then a village bar. Evidence of this bar heritage can be seen in the guest’s lounge/breakfast room as the bar it’s self has been left in situ...

At 10º outside, it was a whole 20º warmer than the week before, so I guess we picked the right week! The welcome inside was even warmer. The room was beautifully presented - it must have been as my wife said so and she is the hard one to please. We opted to have dinner as well and it was...

Le Chat Bleu was a nice bolt hole at a time when the Brittany weather was at its worst (mid-December 2011). It was raining cats and dogs outside but the front bedroom was so cosy you could not hear a thing. Breakfast was outstanding, despite being cooked in the dark due to a local power cut due to the storm....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Jane, Paul and son Gabriel offer you the warmth and hospitality of their former station hotel, situated in the centre of a rural but thriving village in the heart of rural Brittany with its bars, restaurant and boulangerie for fresh breakfast breads. Inside the house are three character guest-rooms. 'Bleue' and 'Rouge' have double beds and 'Lavande' has a double and a single and is equipped with a cabin shower. A newly installed bathroom and a further toilet are available for guests. In the old bar downstairs you can take time to relax. In summer we open up and eat outside in the garden as much as possible. We cater for all tastes and diets- just let us know preferences/ needs at the earliest oppertunity. On cooler days you can read or chat around the bar's log-burner. We have plenty of books, games and children's toys, as well as tourist information to find the best ways to spend your days. Borrow our bikes or, if you have prior experience, feel free to take out our canoes on one of the many nearby waters. We are within an easy half hour from both the Nantes to Brest Canal, as well as Lac de Guerledan which makes a lovely day out, with it's terraces and sandy beach. Being et the exact centre of Brittany makes all corners equally at your disposal. From amusement parks and beautiful cities, to train rides and the lovely coasts- it's all there waiting. We very much hope you will come and visit us soon. ... more   less
