We chose this pub for an overnight stay, as it was my husband's birthday and we could have a few drinks to celebrate, by having a meal in the restaurant. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff, and we were put in the wrong room. We had booked the Junior Suite, room 5. It was soon sorted out...

Stayed overnight midweek. Fabulous location and warm welcome received from Courtney, who took time to personally show us to our room and explain all. Mentioned that they had a large party in for dinner, so advised accordingly best time to have supper. Stayed in one of the mews houses, which was full of character with a modern contemporary twist in...

.....in a lovely Somerset village. The bedroom was warm and attractively furnished. Nasty stain on the carpet by the door. The bathroom is of high quality. How did we manage without rainforest/monsoon showers. The room rates represent great value for money! Front of house under hard working Holly is friendly and highly efficient. Time served chef Neil skilfully turns out...

Visited with friends and have to say this was the best Sunday lunch we gave had anywhere on a very long time. Staff were very polite and friendly and the pub itself is very nicely appointed and comfy. Service was very quick and the meal itself was superb. Three of us had the pork roast and it was presented very...

We stayed overnight on the Sunday dinner, bed, breakfast and a bottle of wine offer. We had a very warm welcome and were shown to our very comfortable mews room. Evening food was delicious as was breakfast the following day. All the staff were most accommodating and extremely friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The sound of horses on their way to the gallops is better than an alarm clock! And the room I was in, which was fantastically comfy, was by the road the horses walk down. I arrived early afternoon and was told of some interesting things/walks locally. Back at the pub for supper I really just fancied something 'plain' - so...

My husband and I came here for a meal and I can honestly say it was the best meal we have ever had. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. We both had steaks, which were the best ever.It was a bit more expensive than we would normally pay, but it was so worth it. I would recommend...

This place has a nice bar with locals in but thats where it ended. As residents we had no proper welcome or service. our room Kato Star smelt very fusty and my bed and sheets were damp hence I had an awful nights sleep. The room itself is ok but has awful, scruffy, scratched furniture in and could easily be...

Dear Lipstick Lover (great moniker) I was very disappointed to read your experience here at The Manor, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I will take on board all of your issues. It seems that Autumn has caught us by surprise as I've discovered that the heating hadn't been switched back on which would account for the cold...
