I was here for a 3 day business meeting. Rooms are good but basic (no television, no radio). We also had several buffet type lunches and diners, food was good and staff is really friendly. Hotel Appenberg is situated a couple of km from the nearest village which makes it a bit distinct.

A Quaint set of traditional buildings make up this enchanting place. You need to be a mountain goat to get around but it is worth the effort. Thr rooms are very basic , no TV nor radio , it is designed as a restful retreat away from the hassles of life. When you open the windows or balcony door you...

We were only here for one night at as a late evening decision to find a room for the night. This ended up being our favorite accommodation of the 13 different places we stayed during our month in Europe. It is perfect for a longer stay in the area, but a bit out of the way from the typical tourist...

My wife and I spent 4 nights at hotel Appenburg. The hotel comprises several accomodation buildings, plus the reception building which housed the restaurants and beer garden. The steep paths and steps, made us feel a bit cut off and it was too much trouble to go to the main building for a quick coffee, there was also no telephone...

A stunning location, our room no.315 had a beautiful view of the Jungfrau mountains inc the Eiger in the distance & snowy hills surrounding hotel. The roads up the hill were cleared efficiently by a snow plough & were quiet traffic wise. The staff were friendly & spoke basic English. Learn some basic German greetings as it helps to say...

My husband, son and I stayed at the Hotel Appenberg this past July for 1 night. The property is beautifully landscaped and terraced and situated on a typical Swiss green mountain with a beautiful little village below. There were cows in the valley wearing their bells exactly as you would expect in Switzerland. We used a GPS to find the...

The Hotel Appenberg is beautifully landscaped, a group of quaint Swiss houses plastered up the side of a hill, with terraced gardens, a nice playground, and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The room we had included a loft, where the management had thoughtfully placed beds for our two kids. It looked out over a beautiful valley with a small...
