We spent two nights at the Piper's Flat Apartment at Awatuna Homestead. Arriving was already a pleasure, surrounded by beautiful gardens the house gives an amazing appearance. Our two kids (3 & 6 yrs) loved the two dogs Molly and Abbey. Linley and Paul were absolutely fantastic hosts, very friendly and supportive. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, cosy....

For this area, the Awatuna Homestead is by far the most amazing place to stay. It has a 5 star feel for a bed and breakfast! The hosts are a delight and so friendly and helpful! The accommodations are excellent - comfortable, clean and quiet. Your room has everything you need and was one of my best night's sleep on...

We were welcomed with big smiles when we arrived. We got settled into our room and showered and changed ready for dinner in the homestead. We had some excellent food and a really good Pinot Noir to accompany the beef. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is the most important thing in a hotel to ensure a good nights sleep....

We had a fabulous time and wished we could have stayed another night! The rooms were extremely clean with very cosy decor. There is an option to have dinner at the homestead but we chose to go into the town. We wished we had taken the dinner at the homestead when we tasted the breakfast the next morning! Breakfast was...

On our way to the Fox Glacier we stayed there only one night. The house is decorated very tastefully. So was our room. Staff was friendly and the breakfast as well with hot and cold dishes. We had a good time at Awatuna.

This is a wonderful place to stay! We were there only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was amazing - homemade granola, banana bread, savory muffins and hot dishes! The owners are very warm and welcoming.

There are many reasons to stay at Awatuna Homestead. It is located near Hokitika an absolutely delightfully history packed town which was recently put on the map by a now bestseller. The food at Awatuna was delicious and the chef delightful. It is very near a beautiful sea shore. But the reason we loved staying at Awatuna the most was...

The winding entrance to this property ended in an extremely quaint homestead. We were a party of four and our bedrooms on the first floor were beautifully furnished and the beds were comfortable. The shared bathroom could not be faulted. The only draw back was the access by a set of steep stairs and the freight train that thunders by...
