Popped in for quick bite to eat/ snack on Sunday afternoon. Bit sad that there was no chips as only had a Sunday menu available. We had some starters instead and they were tasty. They had lots of good beers on tap and the service was very friendly. The decorations for Halloween were very good and made our visit :)...

Whilst waiting for friends, we had a meal which was plentiful and reasonably priced. The pork belly was a bit too greasy for me but still tasted great. Helpful staff and good service Interesting ornaments and fittings, which included an Egyptian sarcophagus

A typical village type feel pub with a good and simple menu and a great choice of beers- food served in good time and very good value for money. A big garden at the back and at lunchtime on a hot sweltering day most people chose to stay inside

A very 'cliquey' pub. Walked in on a Wednesday night - everyone went quiet and stared! Not a pleasant experience at all. Only about 8-10 people in there. Food was good but wouldn't go back. Also, too many TV's!

Never been there before, but on a friends choice decided to go and see what it's like. Was pleasantly surprised. If you like pies they have a good selection of Pieminister pies, I had one and really enjoyed it. Service was good and would go back again.

This was our 3rd choice of pub to meet up with some friends - the other 2 were booked up. Thank goodness - the pub is dog friendly and were fine with our friend's 8 month old boxer (he was well behaved). The Sunday lunch was wonderful, and far too much to eat. We will be back but may skip...

A lovely pub with good up to date decor and a great garden. Only been there for Sunday lunch but what a lunch. Excellent food and service. Also has a good selection of beer and cider with a selection of guest ales. Good family atmosphere. You may have to book for a Sunday lunch as it can be popular.

Excellent beer and excellent food. The Sunday lunch is highly recommended, but you must book as it's always full. The usual food menu is not too fussy, and all those i've tried have been really nice. My only disappointment is no steak on the menu. In short, a great local pub with great food and beer. What more can you...

We first went in this pub a few years ago to find they weren't serving food and it was all very 1980s. We went in recently to find that it has been completely refurbished. From then on in we have eaten there several times. The decor is intersting, fresh and clean. The staff are really friendly - especially the chef....

We recently visited the Rose and Crown, with Dutch friends to show them an English pub at its best. We have eaten here several times and have been impressed everytime with the choice and quality of the food. In our opinion this is the best food in the area. The selection of beers available was impressive and great for treating...
