Spent four nights and all four were pleasant and enjoyable. Let me first start by saying that I had expected to get the cheapest room (aka, the "pod") but upon checking in was told that I was going to be upgraded to a full room. That made me happy. My room (#8) had a comfortable queen bed, two decent but...

We had the pleasure of staying at The Lazy Parrot (cute name!) in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Actually, we were fortunate to win a free stay that was donated by the owners to the Animal Rescue Foundation of Rincon (which we think is very nice that they support their community!). We had a lovely, clean room with a balcony overlooking their...

We stayed Dec 28, 2010 to Jan 4, 2011. Yes it is deceiving from the street. Hey it is the Caribbean! We were on the 3rd floor poolside. Nice room, great having the fridge. It was very clean. nice comfy bed. Staff was helpful. It forced us to get in the car and explore. The little bakery next door makes...

We arrived on a Tuesday evening to the Inn.At first impression,we thought we actually got scammed. From the street, you do not see the Inn in all its glory. You just see a housefront with bed with a parrot in it in a glass display. We finally mustered the courage to enter an we were incredibly surprised with the Tropical charm this place has....

During Presidents week, the biggest week of the year in Rincon, every hotel room, condo and rental is occupied and therefore our quaint little town can seem like it is busting at the seems with less parking, restaurant waits and more noise. New Yorkers out for winter break are looking for warmth, entertainment and good food. That week we try...

On 12-10-10 around noon my husband and I called for a room at the Lazy Parrot in Rincon PR following a week cruise. We were told they had rooms and they asked for a Credit card number to hold a room. It took us several hours to get to the area where the Inn was located. Our Navigator did not...

Just to set the record straight, no one should ever feel unsafe in Rincon, Puerto Rico. The only crime is that cars get broken into, thus the note in the room about parking on the beach and leaving your car unlocked. As far as parking at the hotel, there is a 20 car parking lot directly across the street from...

Overall feel of the LP is a friendly tropical small inn. There are beautiful gardens with nice places to sit and relax. The pool pub area is a nice casual spot to enjoy the sun. All the staff were pleasant and went out of their way to make our our stay enjoyable. I will have to say I think the...

We stayed here 7 years ago and at that time, it was a charming, boutique, funky, fun, small gem of an inn. Now it is a mini-resort, more than double the original size, with busy and impersonal staff and priced well beyond its value. We would give this one a miss.

I must admit, this is a first. Over the 21 years the Lazy Parrot Inn has been in existence I have never once had someone say they didn't like the upgrades. The suggestions received from all our guests have played into what the Lazy Parrot is today. It is still a small inn, only 21 rooms. It still offers the...

I think some of the more recent reviews were unnecessarily harsh of this cute hotel, so i felt obligated to defend it. We also enjoyed our weekend there VERY much. The directions to the facility were spot on...the parking lot is a little tricky (it's on a steep hill) but nothing that will remotely dampen your vacation. The staff was...

This is our second trip to Rincon and The Lazy Parrot-----my son and I love this little piece of heaven! We are both surfers and the main draw to Rincon is for the world class surfing, but when we leave the beach, the Parrot is the icing on the cake! Last January we stayed in the original section of the...

This is a good review for this inn. Clean, average to above average accommodations, friendly/ helpful staff. Cons: no elevator for this 3 level inn ( lots of stairs in you are booked on third floor) parking is across the street( DON'T park in bakery lot next door). We had a pleasant stay .
