My husband and I stayed at the Coconut Palms Inn for a week in the Tropical Fish room. This place felt like home thanks to Valerie and Angel who were so friendly and attentive. Seeing either of them (Val during the week and Angel on the weekends) made our day each time.
The resident cat, Polly, is very friendly and well cared for by Valerie and Angel, and also a joy to see each day.
The outdoor grounds are simply gorgeous. We sat at a little table each morning and had our coffee to plan our day. So incredibly relaxing with a little waterfall running in the garden and the sound of the ocean. The outdoor space is not expansive but it is lovely.
The deck overlooking the ocean has one of the best vantage points for seeing the sunset. Plus, the price is right for the happy hour drinks (AKA your own).
Coconut Palms is well-situated right on the ocean in a quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. There is one grocery store up the street and a larger one a 5-minute drive away. It's close to the beaches, bars, and (really good) restaurants.
The one thing I would change is the room. (I think we got one of their least expensive.) It only had one window (which was under a covered walkway) and a typical PR door (with glass and screens) along the same wall. It was therefore a little dark with not a lot of ventilation ... although this did keep it cool and the bedroom ceiling fan helped a lot. (We are not fans of AC.) The bedroom and living space were quite small although we spent little time there. On the positive side, the king bed had a memory foam topper and was very comfortable. The microwave and fridge were in good shape. There was always hot water for showers even at peak times. And the place was SO clean. I am pretty fussy about cleanliness and this place was impressive.
Overall our experience staying there was really great. I will definitely be back but will upgrade the room next time.

I literally cannot love this place more. This was my 5th or 6th stay at the Coconut Palms Inn and every time I go back, I fall more in love with Rincon and Coconut Palms. I have stayed in all but 2 rooms and they all have benefits. This time, I stayed in the Dolphin room.
It's a big room, and has a full size fridge and small hot plate if you plan on cooking. It has great windows that open to the patio so you can hear ocean waves crashing against the shore, but be aware, there is no direct access to the patio from this room. Not a huge deal, because the walk through the garden is easy, but just a heads up to manage expectations.
The Coqui room is my favorite. it's upstairs and you get a great view from the porch. The garden rooms were great for my sister, who traveled with us this time. She found the waves a little loud, so the garden room was better for her sleeping. But, the louder, the better, for me!
No matter what room you stay in, the staff at the Coconut Palms Inn are helpful and will offer all sorts of info to make your visit to Rincon enjoyable. Other guests are also always friendly. I have never had a bad experience here.
If you are looking for a high end resort, this isn't it. It's so much better. It's quaint, in the neighborhood, and exactly what you need for a relaxing time in Rincon. Every time I visit, I can't wait to come back.
thank you Valerie! See you soon!

Such a cute place! The host was so friendly, we got in late and he personally walked us to our room and made sure we were settled and had everything we needed. The room had a fridge, microwave, killer AC and a comfy bed. Yes the rooms are older but super cute and homey and cute little touches throughout the room. There were fresh flowers on every table outside and we were on the top floor with a cute patio and amazing view of the ocean. I loved that we got to fall asleep and hear the waves from the ocean. We walked the beach about .5 mile to Villa Confresi and enjoyed the famous Pirate Special pina colada (must do when in Rincon!) We set our alarms early and woke up to witness an amazing sunrise. We took a nice walk on the beach and then walked to downtown and enjoyed nice breakfast. The gardens at this place are beautiful. So glad we could make the trip here and sad we were only there for one night. You won’t regret staying at this cute spot and great location. Also, there is parking in front and it wasn’t an issue to find a spot.

I loved the place, I went with my partner and we really liked it, it is cozy, it was clean and the sound of the sea makes it unique. The price is affordable for being so close to the sea, it has access to the beach. You see the sunset from the balcony. I will definitely be back!!!!

What a stunning location! My husband and I loved hanging out on the oceanfront terrace to watch the waves and the pelicans diving for fish right off the beach. At night the stars were spectacular and aside from the peaceful sound of waves, it was very quiet. The hotel also had a lovely garden where you could relax among the exotic plants and skittering lizards. Our incredibly spacious, ground floor room had an adorable Pelican theme, but could have been somewhat cleaner and didn't have the "garden view" we expected from the description (window looked out the side of the building into a planted area, not the main garden). We would stay here again, but perhaps try a different room. Tip: The nearby Ricomini Bakery was a fabulous place to get lunch or breakfast and good Puerto Rican coffee, then take it up to the lighthouse park to enjoy the view and watch for whales.

The Coconut Palms Inn perfectly suited our purposes for the one night we were to stay in Rincon. We opted for the "Coqui Room" which opened directly on the Inn's communal waterfront patio. The space, cleanliness and amenities were all perfectly satisfactory. Parking is on the street outside and there were no problems or issues finding a close and what seemed to us to be a secure spot. The Inn has a small complex of rooms set in a leafy tropical, garden inhabited by several and friendly resident cats. We loved the fact that there is an excellent waterfront restaurant at the Villa Confresi that is a five minute walk along the beach. It is very relaxing not having to drive. The sunset from the patio was simply stunning and we spent several hours after dinner listening to the soothing rhythms of the surf.a few feet away.

Intimate setting and friendly staff steps from the beach no matter which room you pick. I spent a weekend here in September and I can't wait to return. Very relaxed setting, beautiful turquoise water and very nice and clean rooms. I couldn't ask for anything else. Plenty of food options in the area from affordable breakfast at the nearby bakery to delicious dinners at many restaurants close by as well. There's a supermarket just a 2 min drive if you want to stock up your fridge like I did.

Loved this place. We had dolphin apartment- well equipped, lots of space, easy access to beach below and great outdoor terrace to hang out/watch sunsets. Surf rough this time of year but still my daughter saw loads of fish while swimming. Cute green leafy courtyard areas with lots of seating outside rooms. Nice extra touches with the fresh flowers and lighted mason jars. Short walk along beach to Villa Cofresi for restaurant/bar and loads of other places close by using car or longer walk. Friendly staff and cat! Only thing that would be better would be ice on site- our freezer didn’t have the plastic container so had to improvise for our drinks and buy a bag elsewhere.

There for just over a week and really enjoyed the stay. I would class it more as a guest house but a very good one. Why? The two things missing whereby I feel, if improved, this review would have been 5 star are:- *there is no breakfast opportunity there. A simple offering would be an added plus given there is ample outdoor seating * there is no bar. OK an actual bar may not be needed but the availability of a selection of drinks, even if limited, would be a plus especially when watching the sunset from the excellent balcony (see picture). My room was very good though the Wi-Fi could be better and the water hotter more often, the garden is very pleasant and the balcony overlooking the sea was excellent. In addition the staff were very good. Having said there are a couple of negatives, I would not deter anyone going as I could easily go again myself!

This was just what I was looking for. I had an oceanfront room and it is RIGHT on the ocean. My view was of the sunset each night. In the morning I could enjoy a coffee in the most relaxing way on the patio overlooking the sea. The rooms were clean & nicely furnished & the bed was comfy. Fridge, microwave, a/c, coffee maker. The hosts are wonderful. Parking is easy on the quiet side street. The garden area is lovely. I could not have found a more perfect place to stay in RincĂłn.
