A couple of weeks ago we picked up our US friends who were visiting Sydney, and on our way back from Sydney airport to our home in Oberon we stopped to show them this hotel. We wanted to have coffees but could not be served in the hotel part. They directed us to the tea salon but they would only...

We spent or 50th Anniversary night at HM. Loved the history and information provided. The staff were all attentive and helful in every area we visited. Room was well appointed and clean however, the following small details were not what I would expect from the Hydro. Tiolet did not always stop flushing. Cold sink tap had part of handle missing....

A piece of blue Mountain history tastefully renovated however still retains the feeling of yesteryear. Well worth a visit even if you don't stay there as they have a cafe open to the public and the mountain views are great.

A quality venue to look around and dine. There is the boiler house restaurant overlooking the extensive valley, the cafe inside which has cakes, quick bites, wine and a good place to look around at local products. The area is extremely well presented and the staff were extra helpful. They have a high tea in many forms and we will...

No doubt the best hotel on the mountains. Bakery view rooms are amazing. Lounge areas are also very opulent and relaxing. Only gripe would be that the rooms are noisy. To noisy for a five star. Service is good. However, the bar is unstaffed and slow.

The Hydro Majestic is the grand dame of the Blue Mountains. I had a room in the Belgravia wing overlooking the valley. Spectacular views.
