Chena Hot Springs Resort was a fantastic surprise! I didn't expect much in the interior of Alaska (was simply hoping to see Northern Lights), but had a great time due to the hot springs, great staff, activities available, and the overall setting! They all made...More
Its been two days since I left Chena and I still miss the hot springs. The springs are a truly mesmerizing experience. The water does a job on the plumbing, so the bathrooms could use some spiffing up, but the rooms were nice and the...More
If you are looking for an upscale resort experience you won't find it here. There were nice things about this place - the location, the hot springs, the restaurant, the massage I received and the staff, but the rooms themselves are basic motel rooms and...More
Well waited over 40 minutes for my pick up, thought the van was going to break down getting to the hot springs! Wow was beautiful when I finally arrived, you have to pay for wifi, and then it’s only to use on one device!

We rented a car in Anchorage for the two weeks we were in Alaska. There are tours that will take you to Chena Hot Springs, however a car gives you the flexibility to stop and enjoy and photograph the beautiful scenery and wildlife as you want. The grounds at the Hot Springs are beautiful. The ice sculpture igloo is a must see, also the sled dog kennel. Time did not permit us a horseback ride through the area. It was a fun Alaska adventure.
