I want to begin by saying this hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice and very helpful! We enjoyed the food at the various locations throughout the facility and never had a complaint! The beach is lovely and that beach staff was on top of making our experience

This is my third visit to San Juan Puerto Rico. When you combine the convenience of this location, the beach views, the proximity to a major grocery store, the ease of getting to and from the airport, a casino, the beautiful beach views, a nice lobby bar, good food, and clean

Room had an open box on the wall With wires sticking out, shower wall had a crack in it. Had to request our room be cleaned or just ask for towels a few times even though we had left our room by 11. One time I even notified house keeping that was next door that we were leaving

We stayed here with our kids and parents. The restaurants were all great. I do not recommend the breakfast buffet. Everything else was tasty and service was great. Location was good and the beach was great! We plan to be back.

Came at the end of January for a long weekend to escape the cold weather back home. Everyone we encountered at this resort was so friendly and helpful. The beach is great! Just a short walk out the door and they have people there to set up your chairs and umbrellas for you.

We have stayed at this property for the past ten years and know the ins and outs of food service/availability. There is a Denny’s that is a short walk (about 10 minutes at a leisurely pace) from the hotel along a newly constructed sidewalk, lighted at night along the main road that runs to and from Isla Verde/Carolina to downtown San Juan and Old San Juan. Denny’s is open 24 hours, has an extensive menu and also a bar. Pue Bello is also on the same street about a half a block away from Denny’s and offers the best house made gelato and a menu that is similar to a diner with all kinds of food. Not expensive, friendly service and has take out. There is also another spot before Denny’s, near the Ritz Carlton that is very good and economical, serves bakery items and a wide selection of hot food, sandwiches. It’s on the corner and lighted at night (yellow and red sign) and right by the Ritz. Also note that most family-style or fast food restaurants in the area participate in the Grub Hub type program and will deliver to your room. Near to the hotel (and participating for sure as of a week ago- we were just at the Courtyard Isla Verde) is Denny’s, Church’s Chicken, Wendy’s, Burger King, Outback, among others. Also, please note that at the resort you can order from any menu offered when dining at Papaya’s (pool cafe), the coffee bar in the lobby that used to be called Bananas, and the bar lounge. You can also get food and drinks in the casino for free if you’re playing- even at a penny slot machine. For authentic food that is reasonable and of good quality, Plato’s is also a short walk away on the same sidewalk that leads to Denny’s. This is a nice, local restaurant where the service is usually good and has a nice menu with specials. For really authentic food and a locals experience, walk along the beach from the hotel (go right when facing the ocean)past the beach clubs to the end of the beach, go right and out to the sidewalk and there are many, many roadside cafe that have excellent food made in front of you by locals. Inexpensive drinks, beer, food and experience. You can take a taxi too or an Uber. If you want snacks and such for your room ( there is a chiller/refrigerator and microwave in your room), grab a taxi and head to Pueblo’s (a main grocery store about a five minute drive from the hotel). They have everything you could want and the quality is good. The even sell liquor and it’s much more affordable than a single drink from the bar or pool at the hotel. There was a monitor drink set, featuring Bacardi of course, including a shaker and glasses, 24 oz, for $21.99. One drink at the pool is $11. You can get toiletries, dry goods, fresh fruit, bagged snacks, everything you could want. Note that plastic bags are 2 cents each at checkout, so bring bags or plan on reusing them. There used to be a very good Walgreens in the shopping center where Denny’s is located, but they went out after the hurricane last year. There are other Walgreen’s and a big CVS near by but you have to take a taxi unless you can walk for several miles carrying bags. I suggest you bring an insulated type bag from home to load up and use. Also bring (or buy at Pueblo’s ) zip-lock type bags so you can pack snacks and such to carry with you in your beach bag. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

I don’t believe they provide a car rental service but they have cabs on standby. I used Uber.
