We booked at short notice, almost opposite the ferry. Some noise of ferry but certainly didn’t bother us. Our room had two queen beds which were very comfortable. There is a deck outside shared with apartment next door. Very basic shower but adequate for short stay. Owner very nice. A fire pit available. Would visit again. Owner requires cash payment.
We ended up on Brier Island on a whim and just rolled up here and booked in. It was cheaper than we expected, and then we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it is for the price! It was one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in and very big. The lady who checked us in was so friendly, and they were wonderfully accommodating when we decided at checkout time to stay another night. Three points for people who may be picky: The wifi didn't work for me (it did for my partner), the shower is a small standup one, and as a light sleeper I found I could hear the ferry docking quite a bit through the night. None of these were a bother for us though! We were also delighted by the fire pit and the view from our deck was especially nice at sunrise. Overall I was a huge fan and would definitely stay here again!…
Room was VERY clean and felt like home! Everything you need comfy beds, coffee maker, microwave and tv and WIFI. The best part was the view from our room, looking right over the grand passage. The inn keeper Pete is just the sweetest man. He even had a fire for us when we arrived back from whale watching complete with marshmallows Could not ask for more. This is the view from our room at sunrise.
We recently stayed at the Dock & Doze and enjoyed our time there. It was clean and well equipped with a full size coffee pot. The beds were comfortable and the price was great. The owner was very friendly and helpful and his son runs one of the whale watching cruises. We went on that one and weren't disappointed. We seen plenty of whales and dolphins and the crew was very friendly and answered all our questions. The only downfall was no internet but I didn't have to have it. The last night there we sat at the bonfire and had a drink with the owner. If you're looking for a relaxing affordable place where you can hear the waves hit the shoreline this is it. The Lovetts
Spent the night prior to a booked whale watching tour. Very comfortable bed and good sized room. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. Reasonably priced. Great location from the ferry dock and quiet considering the location on the main street in Westport. The owner lit a brazier and sat out with the guests in some chairs overlooking Grand Passage. Definitely recommended and will be back again.
