Reasonable prices but hotel is working through much needed updates. No personal safe in room, lots of Islanders are tourists at the hotel. They have live music and DJ by the pool, we didn't use the beach near the hotel to comment on that. You can pay about the same and Stay at their sister Hotel Melia in Ponce City Center which is very well kept, great service by the staff and about the exact same rate.
Hotel Melia is a hotoric one and near shops, etc.

Overall the place was nice and the pool was beautiful. Didn't liked that the entrance looked very fishy and had no security guards over the weekend. Rooms needs improvements, had no fridge, no microwave and TV was really old and barely had channels. Beds were not that comfy but the space and hot shower was good. Pool area needs more maintenace, po chairs had bird poop and pool had some leafs and small bugs in it. Be careful when housekeeping is cleaning, as we were getting ready to checkout, we had the Do Not Disturb sign in the door and housekeeping still unlocked and opened our door.

Good stay at Solace by the Sea.. The staff at the offices and on site perform their duties above and beyond expectations. My room was clean and well maintained. Parking is always sufficient. I have no complaints. The management should know that their employees reflect the high standards of hospitality services. Well done and thanks!!

I have traveled everywhere I've never in my life had experienced anything like solace by the sea. The rooms are moldy the old disgusting they have a little antenna sticking from the TV to the ceiling ,no internet. No Wi-Fi nothing there's Mold in the pool that if anyone goes in They will come out sick.
I personally got an anaphylaxis attack just walking into that room. I went to the front desk they were supposed to refund me. I couldn't stay I would of ended up in the ER, if I would have stayed there. I did my epi pen I did Benadryl but the a general manager said that he approves me for a refund when I call today's 7 Days later he said he is not giving me a refund I think that place should be condemned. I think Puerto Rico should not have a place like that being such a beautiful island that is not safe for kids not say for people that have allergies. Not safe for anyone.
People with copd people with lung problems whoever goes into that room will come out sick when I was leaving. There were like 5 people complaining of the mold but they don't care so do not go to the hotel to not unless you want to get sick.

I just left a stay of 2 nights a day short. The worst service and facilities I have ever stayed at. Upon check in staff was very nice except she explained terms and conditions after charging the room. The room charges are non refundable after signing document.

First night stay the A/C did not work at all. After mentioning numerous times noone came to fix it not the day of nor the day after. The TV nor the lights at the vanity sink, did not work as well.

The pool was extremely dirty. I have no idea how one would swim in it.

Super loud at night!

After hunting down front desk staff though the facility becasue the doors of front offcie was locked all three times I went at 9pm, I found staff at the restaurant wich told me she was on break and I complained that the A/C, the TV nor the light worked, i was told she would check if I could switch rooms. At this point I decided to leave the property without a refund.

I will never return to this hotel and will pass the word along so noone I know will have this experience.

We did believe what we saw on the Solace's Web Site but found out is nothing like it. This people capitalize on the name of "el Tuque" which is a famous well known favorite beach in Ponce.
The bedroom appears to be in ruins, the shower works like needles on you, there is mold in the bathroom, no dresser, we saw bugs running over the sink, water to the toilet tank stopped at a critical moment, there was no kitchenette as advertised, the bedroom TV is an old '90s model with almost no signal nor sound, the bed pillows had no cushion, their is no restaurant but a cheap area with camping tables and chairs, no signs of maintenance to the surroundings nor the whole building, there were no table/chairs to seat and have coffee, snacks or a meal.
The beds were relatively comfortable, the Flat Screen TV in the living area was working well but limited access to two channels only. The fridge worked well.
I reported the problems to the front desk and all I receive was a vague look back.
We have no intention to repeat our stay at The Solace By the sea.

Wow where do i start ?
Horrible and unpleasant nothing like the pictures or what i was expecting base on what was offer . No costumer service no manager on site to deal with complaint, questions or needs. When we complaint we were offer to move to another hotel our first choice was Fox but unfortunately they only had one room available (without hot water I might add) and we needed two rooms since we had two reservations. We end it up the Melia not what we wan it but at this point anything was better then nothing. If it wasn't for Brian at the from desk at the Melia that went above and beyond to helps us and make things pleasant for us , we would have left we just disappointment and the lost of our money. Nothing that we were offer on our promo made sense , welcome drink what a joke a little bottle of Ponte Vecchio (so cheap) to be share for 2 person with plastic cups really. Next day went to get paddle boards for our 1 hr use (part of the promo) just to find out that there were not available for weekdays only weekends even thought our reservation was for weekday and it was part fo our package. Very misleading waste of money and time. Cant wait to get home to put my reviews online . So other people do not go through the same disappointment not fun to have your vacation mess up , with so many false advertisement. I thought that bringing my business and stay in a local hotel its was going to be enjoyable than going to a big chain hotel . This make local tourism looks very bad .

I hope somebody takes the time and put some effort to acknowledge my concern. Thank you,

Greetings,

The room was dirty. The roof and bathroom wall had cracks on them. There was a dog and underage drinkers inside the pool. The bed sheets did not fit the bed and I had to book a room at a neighboring Hotel just to be able to sleep. The hotel is run down, and this was the worst place I have ever booked, specially charging $120.00 per night. Would not recommend it to anyone.

I must make clear that my rating has nothing to do with customer service this time, because the employees couldn't be more attentive. They alone deserve a 5 star, but the place is another story.
I know everything thing in the area had a bad group of events (2017 huricane, 2020 earthquakes and pandemic) and because of it they shouldn't advertise like everything is perfect. The beds are comfortable, the a/c works great, TV's are big and new (but have problems connecting to the WiFi), and the pool is small but great. But still of the good things there's still a lot of T.L.C. needed in the facility: problems with the bathrooms drainage, lamps without bulbs, bulbs without a cover, the shower leaks; they say you can rent Kayaks, but the hotel don't have a access to the beach (and I'm pretty sure is an unusable one).
What I found as the most important fail is the food. I ordered for my family churrasco ($15) and burgers; the churrasco order was a 3oz piece with 3 "tostones", and, the worst part, the burgers' buns tasted and smelled like cigarette smoke.
The place is good for a fast and short stay that you're planning to hangout and eat away of the hotel.

Sorry to say but this was a horrible experience. There was so many mosquitos in my room . The mosquitos were already in the room we couldn't sleep there were stray dogs at our window all night. The ice machine wasn't working and they offered to sell me ice which is normally included with a night stay .there was iguana poop everywhere.the peep hole on all the guest doors were broken .the last time made reservation there there was no water and it took over week to get a refund yet I decided to stay there and give them another try .but I learned my lesson never again

how close are you to a beach? how far away from the airport?
Answer from Evelyn A

The beach is right next to the hotel, but since they are independent entrances, you must go by car. The nearest airport is La Mercedita, in the same Ponce. As for miles, I recommend you see the GPS to be more accurate.
