I have stayed at The Old Rectory Guesthouse twice and will be going back. The guesthouse is very clean, the beds are very comfy and every effort is made to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I had the continental breakfast and it was great - lots of lovely fresh fruit. I was staying with my sisters and cousins...

My room was a single room with shared toilet. Nice touches including lovely thick towels and dressing gown, bottled tap water, which was well received, tissue box, dressing table, shower in room- Everything to make you comfortable. Even a selection of books and a tv for those who prefer it. Lovely pillows and comfortable bed. Good location for the ringwood...

I had the single room which was immaculately clean, with several thoughtful items eg dressing-gown,nice toiletries, drinks and biscuits,bottle-opener(!) and so on.It was not fully ensuite which didn't matter as we were a family group but in other circumstances would have prevented me booking---all the rooms except the two single, were fully ensuite..Breakfast is paid separately from the room and was attractively...

We stayed in the family room which is situated in a seperate building and my parents in the large double af the front if the house. The family room was very nice with a very comfortable double bed and a single folding bed ( a little firm but didn't bother our 7yr old) The was a lot of excellent wardrobe...

As my partner said "does the job". Comfortable bed, lots of character, very creaky floorboards so no sneaking around in the middle of the night. Room overlooking a church. Thought breakfast was expensive and would have preferred to pay a bit more and have it included.

£35 a night can't be bad. I slept well, and was happy with the shower. Somehow I still find myself surprised when booking a room to find there's no en suite loo. Yes, I know I should read the spec first, but I didn't!

Not a great fan of B&B's, however this was lovely. Superb room with quirky loo and wet room. Huge wooden super comfy bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and superb. We used this B&B as a base for a walk in the Peak District as we didn't want a long drive from home. I would stay again.

Staveley is a small village between Chesterfield and the M1; the Old Rectory is opposite the church (unsurprisingly) on the south side -- though the church tower is at the west end of the church, rather than the east as is normal. It's off the main road, so it's pretty quiet. The B&B is a good typical English B&B --...

My sister and I shared the twin room with an ensuite situated at the rear of the property. It is seperate from the house with own entrance gate and shared small kitchen. Great welcome by Briony who showed us round and explained the room etc. Cooked breakfast in the morning was yummy with plenty of choice. Good location close to...
