Mika's Resort is a modern luxury property located on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera, only a 7 minute drive from GHB airport and about 15 minutes from downtown Governor's Harbour. Our oceanfront Casitas are equipped with a kitchenette including a mini-fridge, microwave, and place settings and a private bathroom with shower. Our luxury Penthouse offers stunning ocean views with a private balcony, living room, full kitchen, and bedroom with spa bath. Thoughtful amenities throughout include spa quality Comphy brand bedding, custom skin care products, and a community kitchen in our main house where guests are welcome to cook their own meals. Guests are also free to enjoy our virtually private pink sand beach! Mika's Resort is a family-owned business where you are treated like family. We are not a hotel. We run our place more like a bed and breakfast where you have the freedom to move around the property like it's your own. We are off the beaten path and like to think of our place as a quiet, private getaway with a paradise beach feel.
Mika is an amazing beach front boutique hotel situated on the Atlantic side of the island. The rooms have windows throughout to show see the beautiful views at all times including the sunrise right from your bed! They provide essential items one may need and have a community kitchen if you’d prefer to cook meals during your stay in addition to a microwave / coffee machine / fridge in your casita. They also provide kayaks / beach chairs / snorkel gear free of charge for use at anytime during your stay! We felt like we were on our own private island as we never saw any other people on the beach in front! The property is very well kept and there is a property manager a text away for any concerns / needs during your stay. It was the most perfect accommodations for our stay on the island and helped us fall in love with Eleuthera even more! Highly recommend booking this hotel for your next vacation!

If you need a place to go for a relaxing getaway this is the place. My husband and I stayed here for 5 days. We were greeted with the wonderful scent of peppermint misting from the diffuser which gave a spa like experience. The grounds and accommodations were beautiful. The "casitas" which is what these cute cottages are called was very nicely decorated, simple, clean and comfortable. The resort is very private. The rooms are bright and sunny. The bed was super comfortable. You can hear the ocean which is just a few steps away from the casita. Mika's is located on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera. The water is a little rough depending on the time of day you go in but does not take away from enjoying the water. Just make sure you are an excellent swimmer. If you want calmer water just take a short drive down the road to the Caribbean side. The casita is equipped with a coffee maker(Keurig), a toaster and a small refrigerator to keep drinks cool. There is also an a/c and a ceiling fan. Free wifi is available and TV with Netflix. The room also has two small safes to keep your valuables. They were new and not yet secured to the shelf but I am certain Mika took care of that already. If you want to cook there is a grill and a communal kitchen in the main building. Restaurants are close to resort. A rental car is recommended to get around. I didn't have any issues with mosquitos, biting black flies or no-see-ums which are tiny biting gnats. They usually come out more often in the early morning and late evening. The ocean breeze usually blows them away BUT bring repellant regardless as they are still there. Mika is very responsive if you have any issues. Samia who took care of our reservation and checked us in was also readily available on site or by phone. Download "what's app" to communicate with everyone. Mika's is not a typical resort hotel so you will not have daily housekeeping. If you need to change linens you can leave them in the main house laundry bin and clean linens are readily available. Overall it was a enjoyable stay and I recommend that you book your next stay with them.

We stayed in the penthouse for 4 nights. What a great place! Beautiful views, clean and modern, the beach is right there (with decent snorkeling), and Governor's Harbour is a short drive away. The one caveat might be that if you have a hard time with stairs, there are quite a few to negotiate from the parking area to the penthouse. The kitchen area was more than adequate for cooking breakfast every morning, and there was sufficient refrigerator and freezer space. Samia and Reynaldo were very friendly and responsive.

Nice position on the sea; however, it just missed the mark for that price point. Freezer in the room was completely frozen solid, never defrosted. The room smelled of cheap chemical fragrance with plug-in diffusers (better to smell the fresh ocean and salt air than that). There are kayaks, mask, snorkel, but nothing looks like its taken care of. I asked for a another mask, and never got it, as well, I asked for a bowl that was microwave safe and never got that either. Also, the air conditioner falls right onto the bed at night when sleeping, as well, bright outdoor lights all night long through the entry door. Also, no one was ever around to assist with anything, It was all through texts (if you even got a reply) And the kitchen supplies need updating as well, there was a smell of gas when trying to use the oven, so we shut it off right away. And the main lobby area is a total waste of space. Looks more like a white museum of plastic, then something usable and comfortable.

Hello Stephen, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on your recent stay. While we're glad, our beautiful location impressed you, it's disappointing to learn that other aspects of your experience fell short of expectations. We apologize our staff was not around the property as much as you would have expected. Our property is not staffed 24/7 but we do our best to communicate and get you what you need via text or call. We assure you that if support is needed one of our team members would make it a priority to make themselves available. We will discuss your concerns with our Management Team so that your future visits better reflect our high standards. Hopefully, you will allow us a second chance to show you what we are truly capable of when you are back in the Bahamas!

OMG this place is amazing. Came with some girlfriends for a little getaway. We rented the penthouse and one of the casitas, the views from both were amazing. The penthouse has a fully equipped kitchen with other great amenities, comfortable queen size bed and a gorgeous hot/cold tub. The double light up vanity mirrors were a great touch as well.
We visited several beaches, restaurants and went to the town’s Friday Night Fish Fry. The locals were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. This place is definitely a great place to go relax and unwind from the real world. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at Mika's Resort. The view from the room is quite dramatic and the room acts almost as a picture frame for such an amazing beach location. The selection of white, blue and soft grays in the room really make the ocean stand out even more than it does.
The location was easy to find and a short drive down a road off Queen's Highway. One of the really nice things about Mika's is its location. Very easy to drive into Governor's Harbor and a very short drive to the GHB airport, where we flew out of when we reluctantly had to leave. Eleuthera is a rather long island and this location made it easy to visit both the north and south ends.
Another nice touch was a lovely selection of bath and skin products to try during your stay. There is also a full kitchen available to share with other guests during your stay. We felt very lucky to enjoy this beautiful new resort before the news gets out! A wonderful treat in a location where you feel you've just been dropped in your own private oasis!

We just got back from five nights at Mika's and we had such a great time. The location is beautiful The bungalows are beautifully done and the people couldn't be nicer. This is a great location for exploring the island and we were able to walk the beaches in both directions and hardly run into anyone, what a treat.

Absolutely stunning facilities, views , service. Without doubt a paradise location. 10/10! If you’re in Eleuthera and need to stay somewhere don’t look any further than Mikas resort. Governors harbour is only a 15 minute drive away to get to the restaurants and groceries. You’re also positioned in the middle of the island so relative access to south or north isn’t a problem. Until the next time 🙏

The resort is located in front of the ocean, with access to the beach. Beautiful property with great, friendly service. It’s nicely secluded so it feels very private and has a shared kitchen area and a grill. At night it’s a great spot to look at the stars, felt like being in a planetarium. I would recommend flying to the closest airport so the drive is not too long, otherwise it’s about 1 hr from ELH. Great time, would definitely visit again.

The resort is BeAuTiFul! It has a clean modern feel, its on the ocean, and there's a constant breeze. Right in central Eleuthera, it's just a short drive from the Governor's Harbour airport. A great location in order to break your exploring into North and South days...or like the locals say, Down and Up. So many places see! Guide books and reviews will tell you about the Glass window bridge, the Hatchet Bay Caves, and the Sapphire blue hole, but Reynaldo and the staff at Mika's guided us to places only familiar to locals. Like the outcroppings of Winding Bay, the shark and turtle nursery in the mangroves near Half Sound, and the Cathedral Cave in Rock Sound. You can't see it all in one trip, and after you visit once, you won't think twice about doing it again next year! Thanks Mika's!
