This was our second visit to Bosque del Cabo and we were not disappointed. For a more detailed review of the lodge, please see my review from last year. You simply will not find a another eco lodge that can match the extremely high level of customer service, amenities, and delicious gourmet food coupled with unsurpassed wildlife viewing. The grounds...

Coming from the cold of Canada what a journey. Outdoor showers, challenging trails with surprises along the way, masses of green foreign plants. And animals right at your feet. 100% humidity in the forest and cooling breezes on the cliff at night teasing the netting surrounding your bed. Meals to satisfy the most elegant palate in the most relaxing setting....

I've stayed in a lot of places around Costa Rica, Bosque del Cabo is a must to add on to any stay. Getting here it's recommended to fly to Puerto Jimenez where they will pick you up for the drive in. The Cabina's are 5 star ... comfortable beds, screened in.... with hammocks on your porch for dozing or watching...

From the pick up at the Puerto Jimenez airport, to our drop off a week later, this could not have been a better week. Went with my husband and two adult kids-20 and 21. Stayed in the Aracari, upstairs, which is an open to the ocean view cabin with a king bed and two twins, full bath. There are many...

I really can't express how much we enjoyed staying at Bosque del Cabo, so I'll just call the experience perfect. We stayed in the Casa Blanca, which was absolutely stunning. The huge deck overlooked the Pacific, the rooms were so beautiful, and it was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The food was fabulous and plentiful, and the wildlife was stunning. We...

There's tons to see in the grounds of the resort. Within 30 seconds of getting to our cabina, we had a Toucan and a Macaw in the tree outside! Also during our short stay we saw a variety of monkeys, birds, rodents and frogs. We had a 4 hour morning tour with Phil the guide which was an education in...

We just returned from one week at Bosque with our two kids, ages 5 and 7. We had been to the Nicoya Peninsula previously, but wanted something more gneuine and less crowded. Bosque sits at the end of a point that separates the Gulfo Dulce from the Pacific Ocean. The property is enormous and takes up the entire tip of...

Another adventure-filled visit: sloths, monkeys, poison dart frogs....and on and on. It is so heart-warming to see the same staff from the very first visit and they always remember us! The food is spectacular, the views breathtaking and the tours, fishing, hiking, surfing never disappoint! Love this place and these people!

This is the third time we've been there and we will be going back again for sure! If all they had was their perfect location and grounds at Cabo Matapalo, that would be enough to bring us back. If all they had was the abundant wildlife- on the land, in the trees, and in the air- that would be enough...

We are a family of 4, with 2 kids ages 6 and 4. Bosque del Cabo was truly a wonderful place that gave us the perfect balance between fun outdoor activities such as hiking on the trails (on which we got to enjoy the sight of monkeys, toucans, macaws, peccaries, agoutis, and so much more), take a zipline and rappelling...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bosque del Cabo is a romantic getaway and a naturalist’s dream, come true. Crowning a point 500 feet above where the Golfo Dulce meets the Pacific Ocean, nestled in the unspoiled jungles of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula is a paradise found. Located in a unique and fortunate position at the very tip of the Osa Peninsula in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica, this 750+ acre forest reserve features private, spacious bungalows and gorgeous houses perched atop the cliffs of Cabo Matapalo, each with beautiful ocean views, tropical breezes and the rainforest at your doorstep; or choose beautiful and rustic garden view accommodations surrounded by thriving rainforests. Hiking trails lead you through the forest to deserted beaches on both the Golfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean.
