Arrived at the Roman ruins at Conimbriga, dating back to the first century BCE. Fascinating stuff. Lots of mosaic flooring still intact despite the fact that even fifteen years ago, the area was not properly protected, visitors were able to walk on these precious floors....More

My husband and I spent 2 nights there and loved it. The location was perfect as we had a car, the value for money excellent. The owner, Teresa, was extremely helpful and always available. We loved breakfast in the huge dining room.
