We arrived here late at night and thinking it was empty but as soon as they heard us they were so welcoming turning on lights and making us feel at home. We had a good nights sleep even though there was many early morning noises! Bungalow feels like it belongs in a rainforest! Had a good breakfast each morning, service was great, WiFi good, pool super nice and the monkeys were entertaining to watch. The school that is associated with this hotel was soo fun to visit. We brought them soccer balls and toothbrushes and got to play with them for an hour or so in the morning. Wish we had more time with them. Such sweeties! Great stay in a town I hope gets tourism back for the sake of the people.

The Honeybadger Lodge was in a great location just outside Moshi town. The lodge was beautiful, the staff very attentive and friendly, the food delicious, and the large pool provided amazing sunset swims. I would highly recommend staying at the Honeybadger Lodge!

Honey Badger is an oasis just a little outside of Moshi with amazing food, a beautiful swimming pool and a very relaxing atmosphere. I could sit by the pool all day reading a book or hanging out with friends. The food is unlike most food offered in Moshi and I highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad, goat burger or a pizza. The rooms are great and there is a curio shop and a lovely spa. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I can’t wait to go back.

We were a group of 7 and spent a week at Honey Badger....a proper oasis in Moshi. We were safe and the service was first class. A simple but delicious menu was available each night from pizzas to local fish or chicken, and you can even try the local goat stew. The staff couldn't have done more to help us....a wonderful stay!

Fabulous location down a side Road near a lovely school.
Views of Kilimanjaro out the front of the lodge.
Hiking , trips and massage were easily arranged in house .
Breakfast was very good and relaxing.
The pool area very clean and had a chilled vibe as did the rustic bar.
The gardens are impeccably maintained with a wide variety of plants and trees.

We stayed here for two nights before our trek to Mt Kilimanjaro and one afterwards. It was a comfortable, quiet, friendly hotel with large rooms. It is situated in a shady garden and has a great pool area. There is a massage room and pleasant bar area. The food is good and I highly recommend booking this hotel if you are looking for a mid priced hotel. The hotel supports a school next door and is connected to Milestones Trekking company which is approved by the porter association and so your money will support the community. We had a great experience with the hotel and the trek.

Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. The shower was the best one we had so far, especially after the Kilimanjaro. We stayed in a big room with separated bed. Since the lodge is a bit out of the city center, we could also enjoy the good food they prepare in their own kitchen. Definately recommend!

We are a retired couple from Norway and booked well in advance, but got a room (11 I think) which reminded us of a youth hostel. The food was below standard (esp. the buffet, which also ran out before we were full). We paid for some drinks (beer and wine) in cash, but this was still put on the final bill. Staff was nice, so the problem seems to be in the management of things. We stayed two other places during our trip which were much better - so it should be possible to improve.

As part of a Kilimanjaro expedition, our outfitter put us up at this place which was just fabulous. Monkeys on the property will entertain you all day long. Pool available to cool you off. Great staff go above and beyond on anything you ask of them!

We stayed at HBL in October for one night on either side of a safari trip, but did not have laundry done or see it as an option. However, I would guess that you can get it done as anything is possible for a price. The lodge is somewhat remote; you won't be walking around a town looking for services of any kind. But, it is a very nice place & experience once you've arrived there. Enjoy your trip!
