New hotel, nice rooms and very friendly personal - always happy to help. Good prices and healthy restaurant in ground floor. They accepted many all major credit cards, food is always fresh and tasty. I can only recommend the place for staying as well for lunch or dinner

This hotel has a very good location as it is very close to Vaclav's square and even not that far to walk from the railway station. The hotel looks nice, rooms are clean. For us the rooms very little cold and even though the radiator was at the highest the airconditioning heater would not heat up the room sufficiently for...

Hotel Amarilis is in a perfect location to discover Prague. Very close to the main shopping street and a short walk to the old town. Pleasant rooms, felt clean. The hotel was also on a street with places to eat and drink so all in all it was a great stay!

We recently stayed at this hotel, which was booked for us, as my husband was here for work and it was not our own choice..On a previous visit we had stayed at the Cloister Hotel which we much preferred and was in a far better location. On the plus side this hotel is spotlessly clean and the room was a...

Clean hotel, spacious rooms, quite, very good breakfast. Is a small hotel, but I will come back with pleasure. From the hotel to the most important touristic attractions are 600 meters. You can visit Charles bridge, old town, libraries, pubs. Do not forget to drink local spectacular beers and eat old praha sausages

Nothing especially noticeable about this hotel, with a a reasonable price for location, a reasonable service and competent staff. Only catch was that we got there on a rental car and had to pay 25€ a day to park the car over what seems as a side scheme that the hotel staff had with a local car park (no receipt,...

This hotel is near a laundromat a savior for me, cafes, and close to other amenities. Easy walking to center of town and other sites. The staff were more then helpful access to computers and a great breakfast. The room was large and comfortable. Apart from a small issue re A/C condensation leak in the room inside the room door...

I stayed at Amarilis twice, in November 2014 and in April 2015. Excellent location, near Wenceslas Square, 15 minutes walk from historical center. Good value for money. Very good breakfast before you start exploring the city. The room spacious, with comfortable beds. Tea/coffeepot and bathrobe for a small additional price. The only two things I did not like about the...

When I entered to the room it was written as non-smoking but there was heavy smoking smell in the room. the room was very small. A friends door key did not work. They said it was because of the battery. It took 4 hours to solve it. By classical way removing the door :). The breakfast was nice but very...

I want to share this extremely terrible experience with everyone. This was to be my third visit to beautiful Prague, this time for a conference with 4 guests. I booked 5 rooms a few months ago directly with this hotel reserved with a credit card. 1 week before my departure, I received an e-mail from the hotel that they could...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
